Herman Li, Sam Totman = all they do is play guitar like is some kind of gameboy. All the songs they play are EXACTLY the same, which they admitted.

a7x is good... But you can't compare them to one of the most original and skilled bands around... CoB created the finnish power metal sound.

a7x while good sounds like countless other bands.

Alexi is a far more accomplished guitarist then any wanna-be metalcore guitarist.

Pretty obvious really. I provide constructive criticism most of the time for bands, and now i'm having a conversation about BM with someone.

Silenius : Folk and Ambient metals are two things that leave a little to your imagination. I see Drudkh and Hate Forest as both of these because of their Ukranian heritage, and their semming unending devotion to nature and the circle of life. If 'Wind Of The Night Forests' isn't ambient as hell, i don't know what is.

They don't sound like Atreyu atall. The vocal style is heavier, the guitars are heavier and more original, and the writing style is completly different.

Anyway, sorry about starting a pointless argument, i am always open to talking about Ambient BM though :)

That's my favourite track from there as well, also the first Bodom album I got. I've recently got Tokyo Warhearts and Hatecrew Deathroll as well! Thank god I found them :)

I agree, I picked up their new album because I had exactly enough money for it after buying Silence by Sonata Arctica -- I didn't expect much from it but I wasn't disapointed (I only spent $15 (CDN) for it), that isn't to say I was blown away. It was a fairly average album that I'll play now and then when I don't know what else to listen to.

Yeah, I forgot about TL&S... That is such a great song. The only problem is that the lyrics posted on most sites are incorrect... Sucks that Alexi doesn't share all the lyrcis, but oh well... it's his decision. Lyrics don't matter though... I am not sure if I am the only one on this thought but I think alot of music that I find cool and agressive sounds worse when I know what the singer is saying throughout the entire song...

- i invited alexi laiho for a beer

- everyone of the band (except the keyboarder who went to bed) signed me a Cob-card
- and i sat for whole 4hours with them in the same pub... Rope Latvalla was sitting alle the time on the other table in front of me

Yes, i met the band after the gig.
The concert was in a hall and after the concerts there is a pub (on the first floor)... there was even a desk reserved only for band members. there were about 50-100ppl there. we sat there for about 2hours and at 1 or 2am the band members (Ektomorf, CoB) came too... the only thing i had to do, is to go to their desk and ask alexi for a photo... to talk to him, to buy him a beer :p

I'm pretty sure on "Extreme Power Metal"...

For me at least... CoB is a blend of melodic death and power metal... That's how the sound compares to genres for me...

I noticed Alexi plays the second solo one different frets than what he shows in the "Reap 'N Roll" licks video. Not only that, but the main part that starts at 0:43 seconds in the video, he plays in a different place than he usually does. I am not sure if him and Alex are even playing in the same place at that time. Sorry if no one understands my blabbel but it's stuff that is confusing as heck...

i haven't talked too much... Alexi was drunk already and there were a lot of fans who wanted to talk to him;
i told him that he is my biggest guitarhero i ever had - he: "mhm"
i gave him a beer "really, thank you"
then i take a photo of him... that was everything. he hasn't talked too much, me either.

I spoke short with Janne when he was leaving the party (he went to bed); i asked him why he is leaving - he: "i'm too tired, too drunk"... then i asked him where is alexi (cause i haven't seen him yet) and he showed me him... then he went to the bus.

Most i talked to Roope Latvala. Asked if it is true that he was alexi's guitar idol when alexi was a boy, but he couldn't answer it... he said "maybe". Then we talked a little bit about his band stone; i asked him if stone is now a side project of him or is he still taking it serious. he said that stone was the first band he ever formed and he plans to release more albums.

I haven't talked to Jaska and Henkka
