In response to roulette dares 3, ESP's are pretty good guitars. My Jackson is awesome, but I haven't played Ibanez guitars enought to really compare. However I am positive Jackson's are built better, and are of better quality.

Plus all the good guitar players play them :D

Except for my favorite, Jani, of course

Mike, what kind of guitar do you have?

MRDuCran

War Of Razors isn't really what I expected. I figured it would be some crazy battle in between the keys and guitar. But Alexi just plays something then stops, silence for 3 seconds, then Janne does the same thing. It's still awesome though.

Deadnight Warrior is perfect to go afterward :D

I never played more than 5 hours straight, which is why the hardest thing I can play is the second solo in Sixpounder. Most days it is 1 hour. Maybe I should kick it up a notch and try six hours every day.

I go to movies based on who's in them.

The latest ones...

Aeon Flux = Charlize Theron in skintight leather. Sideboob scene. Gooood. :D
Into The Blue = Jessica Alba in bikini the whole movie. Oddly enough, we were the only 3 people in the theater the first showing of the first day it came out.
Fantastic Four = Well, my dad paid for this. Also with Jessica Alba.
The Island = Scarlet Johansson. HOOOOOTTTTTT. I gotta buy this eventually.

I think those were the 4 latest ones I've seen...

Something Wild...2 tracks for me. Touch Like Angel Of Death and Lake Bodom.
Sideboob scene? Elaborate.

"Spam" doesn't matter so bad when you CANNOT spam a FORUM TOPIC by talking about things everyone would normally talk about in conversation. I am sorry if anyone or everyone hates me for the stupid stuff I say, but I can't help it. So take this comment as SPAM SPAM SPAM if you will. I'm one of the minorities here who likes AYDY more than HCDR.

AYDY has so many great songs, and I only really don't like one. That track would be "In Your Face", only for the far too stupid lyrics.

HCDR is basically a "half and half" album for me. Half of the album contains some of the band's best material of all time, but then the other half of the album also has the worst. I think that Hatecrew is Bodom's weakest album to date.

Yeah, sorry that was a type-o. But loving Bodom doesn't make me a loser, what makes me a loser is the fact that I live and breathe off of the album that so many don't enjoy the way I do. I listen to that whole album all the way through all the time.

Virtually every CoB song has a great keyboard solo. Check out anything by them.

My favorite Bodom song is on that album, but I still think as a whole it's the weakest thing they've made.
I consider all of them to be equal, unless I really dig down and look at miniscule differences. There are a few "meh" tracks, but only a few. I love almost every song on there.

Well, instead of going by what people say, you should hear it for yourself. Alot of their songs have some awsome keyboard solos. In my opinion, the one for "Chokehold (Cocked 'N' Loaded)" is amazing. But really, most of their songs have stunning solos.

I recently joined the offical CoB boards like I said I would. I take most of it seriously but I'm an arsehole on there, just like the rest of em. It's pretty funny laughing at all the people failing at playing anything by Bodom, especially the fukkin Kissing the Shadows solo, or Silent Night, Bodom Night.

Some kid has posted the "official" Trashed, Lost and Strungout lyrics, they sound really wrong though. I doubt Alexi actually provided them.

The thing about the new album is I don't think it should have been a surprise to anyone. You could tell the direction they were headed in HCDR. The lyrics have always been punk for the most part, especially on FTR. It was only a matter of time before they realized punk doesn't go with neoclassical, and now they found much more appropriate music to fit the lyrics.

About the Swastika like symbol, it has been a symbol associated with Buddhism for quite some time from my understanding. And it seems it has been used in other religions/cultures for quite some time as well.

Hitler just perverted the symbol into a marking of evil.

And hell, the symbol has been used in many Japanese anime/mangas but they always have to change them for the Americans because they will find it "offensive" even though it has no connections to Hitler other then him pretty much stealing and using it.

Hell, even Pokemon had the symbol in the card game and such...

Yeah, but those are one of the bands that I enjoyed the sounds of Mirror of Madness and Death Unlimited. I am sure I will like their sound still eventually like I did with AYDY...

I think that opinion can only come from what type of music you enjoy. Who do you find to be so talented as a guitarist?

Kerry King is the best black metal guitarist since Jimi Hendrix.

The whole 3 chord power chord progression and one note solo thing does get old after a while, he's no Tom Delonge when it comes to writing powermetal.

Flubber he said black metal not black :p

Petrucci is a good musician, but boring writer. Toni Iommi is great, but is not favorite in my books for making Ozzy leave... Yngwie is great. Via is too...

Alexi owns :)

Not sure what made you stop thinking that but sorry to hear it. Alexi is absolutely amazing in his songwriting skills, and I am not even close to bored watching or hearing him. As for Petrucci though, I am overly board and want to count the brain cells dying of boredom in my head.

I have no arguement over Via or Yngwei Malmsteen though because I too enjoy them. Not as much as Alexi though.

Well you have to give her credit, most people who come in here and bash Alexi their favorite guitarist is Head from Korn...She did name some other good ones, besides Iommi who IMO I don't think is very good.

Yeah, Yngwie and Petrucci are both awesome. Petrucci = My second favorite/tied for first favorite guitarist. Nice to see people with knowledgable opinions for once, haha. Also, with the whole Iommi thing, he was way before his time. Without him there may have not been most of the metal guitarists we have today.
