My song is metal/heavy metal mostly heavy metal it is a good song but i can't make the lyrics for the song help me.

give me techniques for writing songs.

Don't be afraid to play instrumental, nothing wrong with it.

But if you really feel you have to write lyrics, first thing you need is a vocal melody. Play the song and sort of hum along how you'd like the words to be sung. It you get any actual words, build on it, otherwise get your melody then get a theme. Like socks. Then write everything you know, think or feel about songs along with your vocal melody, then it's a case of editing and messing around till you get the right combo of words and melody that you like.

That's what I do anyway.

I have trouble myself putting music to lyrics and vise versa. I can write lyrics and I can write a song musically, but I can't put them together. Try to find other artists too work with.

If you listen to Metallica, rhyme words with themselves and sing about how you want to rock all the time, BUT THE MAN WONT LET YOU, **** HIM!!!!

I don't really know if I can help you, cause most of the time I write the lyrics first. I guess just find someone to collaborate with, I'm sure that'll help.

I basically do the same thing. I'll write a song on guitar and then write lyrics, but the lyrics never fit. Every once in a while I'll try singing while playing guitar..it helps bring out the lyrics that would fix into that song. It's difficult, but my advice is just to focous on it and you'll probably come up with some words that fit. As for me, I'm not the singing in my band, but I write some of the lyrics and so I know it's difficult to fit them with the instrumentals I've created.
