Has anyone here ever done one of these, or anything like this? for those that don't know, this is an event for youth in a metroplex area to make a short film for competition to win cash prizes. At Midnight on the night of the start of the competition, they give 4 requirements for a 5 minute film you must complete in 24 hours.

My firends and I just finished ours this last weekend. this year, we had to include a location (a mailbox), a dialogue line ("i thought i fixed that along time ago"), a theme ("first class"), and a prop (the latest issue of a local metroplex magazine). This was the second year weve done it, but were still in the highschool bracket. We're all seniors with more experience than most the other groups, we edited with a G4 powerbook, so i like our odds.

our movie this year was about a detective with schizophrenia. not that original, but you get the idea. if youve ever done a movie like this, id like to here about it :thumb:

That's sounds pretty cool, both the contest and your video. I would like to see it.

I've only made one movie with something similar to a functional story-line. However, it mostly revolved around gratuitous shots of my hairy ***.
