What was that about Steve Nash not being able to take control of games?
Nash scored 23 points in the third quarter, including 16 straight for the Suns.

How many players have scored 23 points in a quarter? I think you could count the number on one hand. Nash is playing some insane basketball right now. :thumb:

Yeah but it's in a losing effort...

He had more turnovers than assists. 48 points is well and good, but you can't just give up the ball.

nash is far more dangerous getting everybody else involved and scoring 15 with 15 assists.

That's irrelevent considering that his team lost.

Dwane Wade had 20 in the 3rd against the Wiz the other night. Wizards were so close to winning it too!!
I still can't believe Miami scored 40 in the 3rd.

So what if it's in a losing effort? The man shot 20-28!
I love how people talk about the great players that Nash has around him, and how he is unresponsible for any of the Suns' success, and how he is nothing without them. Then, when they fail, and Nash breaks out a tremendous effort, it gets discounted because his team lost. The reason why his team lost was because they didn't score the basketball. He only had 5 assists for a reason, and that is because his teammates were doing nothing with the ball. He averaged more than twice that all season.
On the other hand, his 9 turnovers were disgraceful. I guarantee you the man is kicking himself over those rather than celebrating his 48 points.
Still, the man is not god. He can't WIN games by himself. If it weren't for him, Phoenix would have absolutely NO dignity left. They got abused last night.

i think he's at he's best when he doesn't lead the scoring

Agreed, hes not as dangerous scoring as he is setting up.
I read an article in the newspaper where Damon Stoudamire was saying the best way to beat Phoenix was to force Nash to lead the team in scoring. If he's leading the team in scoring, you have the best chance of winning. Point proven.
