For all those Americans out there, he is referring to the Sega Genesis.
It was my first console, I used to love playing classics like Sonic, Sonic 2, Brian Lara Cricket, Aladdin, Mortal Kombat 3 (that game owned), Road Rash 1, 2 and 3 and what was at the time my first RPG, The Story of Thor.

I was a baby when i got my megadrive and it turned me into a game freak. Is it just my retarded megadrive or did they tend to run out of power and then you'd have to leave them off to recharge even though they were plugged in?

I got a Megadrive for Christmas one year when I was young. It was awesome, and probably the reason why I like games so much nowadays.
Sonic and Knuckles was ****ing awesome

I still play Sega Genesis all the time, more than any other system. Just this weeked I beat Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Battletoads was a cool game, but I could never beat it. There was also this really difficult Alien 3 game that I could never get past around the third level in.

Sonic 3/Knuckles was the best game ever, with Streets Of Rage/2 coming a close second. Golden axe/2 also kicked.

I never actually played Golden Axe (any of them) on a megadrive, just on an emulator. Loads of fun, though.

I sold my megadrive at a jumble sale a couple of years back and I'm really regretting it now.... I still have most of the games for some reason! The last emulator I downloaded gave me a virus so I'm kinda in two minds about it... I'll probably get the craving for some good old sonic 3 fairly soon though.

I loved my Megadrive - wish I hadn't sold it now :upset:
Favourite games were: Golden Axe (one of my favourite games ever), Road Rash, Streets Of Rage series, Aladdin.
I'm thinking of buying one again, I can pick one up for about £20 so I may do it if I ever have some spare cash.
