The Bartolini active MK-1 Pickups and Pre-Amp feature on the Artisian Series aswell. The MK-1 Pickup features on the Curbow.
This Bass is a 5 string which is a 35" scale leaving the Low B nice and taught. Luthiered in conjuction with Rob Elrick and Josh Paul it was developed By Cort
A zero fret is on this bass which is very useful.
Sound - The Preamp is very powerful, allowing you to dial in many tones from treble galore to straight low end. The B is well represented and doesnt sound sterile but full. You can pull-push the volume knob to bypass the preamp delivering good passive tone. 4/5
Feel - The neck is a bit larger than other Cort 5 strings I have played but isnt a relatively big deal. It sits on your knee quite well when playing seated. 4/5
Durability- I got this bass second hand and it is still in great condition, it has had a fair share of hard knocks but hasnt caused any damage at all. The tuning is always impecable and doesnt need to be tuned too often (once every 1 or 1 1/2 weeks)
Setup- Cant really comment, when i got it it was pefect but it was second hand so I am not sure about the factory setup.
This a great bass, it looks a bit like a Conklin GT-7. It has many high end features for such a low price.
I got it for 690 AUD used, Lists at 1195 USD
