Who here is a fan of his work?
Some people may know him better by the moniker "Silent Bob" in the Jay & Silent Bob movies.
Yeah, the fat one Jay calls "Lunchbox"
Some movies of his include: Dogma (which I just saw again, brilliant movie), Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Chasing Amy, Jersey Girl and that's all I can think of at 11 o'clock.
Discuss Kevin Smith and his movies.

He is good. My favorite is Mallrats, with Dogma close behind.

You didn't name Clerks.?
Anyway, for fans of his, check out An Evening with Kevin Smith. It's four hours of him doing Q and As across a few college campuses. For its sheer length, and quantity and quality of laughs, it is he best "film" yet.
Addendum: I read a while back about a science fiction movie he had been linked to. I can't remember what it was about, but the title alone got me jonzin' for it: Ranger Danger and the Danger Rangers.

Yeah, I totally forgot about Mallrats and Clerks.
When I posted this thread, it was late and I was tired.

I really like him. Clerks is probably my favorite then Mallrats. I didn't really like Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Mallrats > you
And am i the only one tired of hearing "my favorite jay and silent bob movie is jay and silent bob strike back because thats the only one ive seen.", to which they argue to the death that no other kevin smith movie is better?

Personally, I only liked Jay and Silent Bob a little bit.
The character Jay annoys me.
I watched it just because Silent Bob is awesome.
And so is Kevin Smith.
I really like Clerks, Mallrats was great when I saw it.
I don't like Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back much, and I've not seen Dogma yet.

The only good thing that Kevin Smith made was Clerks, and Mallrats had its moments. Other than that, I dislike the man.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is probably the greatest movie ever made IMO.

Jay is the funniest character in any movie. I'm a big fan of Kevin Smith's movies, they're easily my favorite comedies.

Well among some circles it's regarded as the best independant film ever made, which is not true.

Clerks, Mallrats, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back are all good.
Dogma is good the first two times or so, but after you've seen it replayed on Comedy Central 19 million times it loses its luster.
I havent seen the rest of his movies.

My future father-in-law has the name Kevin Smith and it freaks me out everytime I see the name "Kevin Smith" on my caller ID. I used to watch Mallrats everyday for months and it gave me inspiration to want to write scripts but the music bug has bitten me harder. Chasin Amy is prolly me second favorite while I think Stirke Back is my least favorite. I dunno but Strike Back just didn't do much for me. I could sense Kevin's urge to wrap everything up in one last movie so he could be done with Jay & Bob forever and that made it lack a quality of fun for me.
