Only four times since the NCAA expanded March Madness to 64 teams has a 15 seed beaten a 2. Richmond stunned Syracuse in 1991. In 1997, Coppin State toppled South Carolina. Hampton upset Iowa State in 2001. When was the other time?

I'm going to take a guess here, but...

Cal Ripken in Baltimore for 20 or 21 years (I don't remember exactly)
and Yaz in Boston for 23 years

ThePatient
05-13-2005, 04:15 PM
Yaz is right, but Cal isn't.

Its 23 years for both of them.

Illmatic
05-13-2005, 04:31 PM
That's not cheating.

I threw out a bunch of names who stuck with one team for a long time. That's not cheating, that's hedging your bets.

Question to come when I can think of a good one.

What teams originally drafted Julius Erving and Joe Namath?

Endless Obsession
05-13-2005, 06:40 PM
Miluwake Bucks
NY Jets

From now on wait to see if u are right to post another question, unless you see the person is offline, or you are 100% sure you are right.

Illmatic
05-13-2005, 06:41 PM
The Bucks did indeed draft Dr. J in 1972, but the Jets were not the NFL team that drafted Namath. He was drafted but then defected to the Jets of the AFL.

MattSharpIsCool
05-13-2005, 07:14 PM

ThePatient

YDload
05-25-2005, 06:17 PM
I think it was William Howard Taft in 1912 at the Senators' field.

Or maybe he was just the first president to throw out the first ball of the season. Oh I just don't know anymore! I want to say Grover Cleveland but I might be getting him confused with old-tyme pitcher Grover Alexander.
