I know its finally gonna be the Philadelphia Eagles year

If TO didn't want to leave, he wouldn't rip into McNabb the way he ripped into Garcia when he wanted out of San Fran.
Facts are facts: When you gamble on a headcase, it's a race against time to win until they flame out and start becoming a detriment to the team (like Sam Cassell and Latrell Sprewell in Minnesota)

As far as I've seen, the Eagles are the only team in the NFC East that haven't improved. I don't think they'll make the Conference Championship.
Pittsburg is going to be hungry next year, they're the only team I think that could give the Pats a run for their money, but I don't think eithert team will win the Super Bowl. One of them will be there though.
Winner is gonna be a team no one expects from the NFC.

They've improved on both sides of the ball, and that's impressive.

Steelers, because they're my favorite team
Ben should be even better than last year with a full year of experience, including playoff experience, under his belt. Even though the loss of Plax hurts, I truly think 4th rounder Fred Gibson can become a very reliable target for Ben. Plus he actually CATCHES balls. Heath Miller should help the passing game as well. The defense is intact from last year and with all of the young players gaining experience under Dick Lebeaus system, it could be even better than last years.
Besides, Cowher is 0-4 in AFC Championship games. He has to win eventually

They're going to have to clinch Home Field Advantage to even have a shot at winning the AFC--you never want Kyle Boller to have to win you playoff games in the road. Can you imagine the Ravens having to go into Foxboro to beat the Pats? That would get ugly. Hell, we stomped the Ravens at home this season, and that was without Deion Branch.

If Boller can have a slightly better than decent year, the Ravens will be one of the best teams in the NFL. That's a big if, and I'm not putting any bets down.
But if Boller can pull it together, Baltimore has what it takes.
The Pats will be tough again. I don't see many teams giving them a run this year.

I'm not worried about Westbrook for the upcoming season. He's required to sign with the Eagles by June 15 and he'll be looking to have a huge year so he can cash in on free agency.

But they'll have to clinch HFA to have a shot, because when it comes down to it, shaky quarterbacks bomb in the playoffs on the road.

Boller isn't the only part of that team. They have one of the best power backs in the game, one of the best defenses in the game, and some great receivers. Even if Boller has an average year throwing the ball, the Ravens will be tough. Tough enough to win a championship.
Once again though, I'm not putting any money on Boller.
I don't think Pittsburgh will be as good as they were last year. They were losing steam at the end of the year. Barely won a few weeks in a row..

Baltimore
Any references to the teams from the last few years are irrelevant. This team has a chance to produce offense. I have faith in Boller that he can do what it takes to step up and play. If Lewis, Ogden, and Heap don't all get hurt at the same time again this year, we'll be ok. I think the release of Boulware could come back to haunt them though. If Cody doesn't play well, his clinical depression could prove to be a huge problem.

Well, yeah, the Ravens obviously have a good enough team to power their way through the regular season, but the postseason's a different story. What if they go up against a team that can neutralize Jamal Lewis and force Kyle Boller to win the game for them? He obviously can't do that. That's why guys like Brady, Favre, Elway, Starr, Montana, Bradshaw, and Staubach have multiple Super Bowl rings. They can take over a game if need be. Boller can not.

Their defense can make plays for them, and massively help out their offense.
Sure if they get behind by 14+ points in a game, then they're screwed. But if their defense can keep the scores close then they can win any game.

They said Elway couldn't win a big game too.
You have to have a team around you to use to be able to win a game. You could the best QB on the field with 3rd string talent, and he's not going to get very far. But if you can balance out that talent, you'll have a much better shot.
Illmatic

Elway, however, was still a much, much better quarterback than Boller.
Elway to his credit single-handedly took the Broncos to the Super Bowl three times in the 80's. Elway, unlike Boller, proved that he could at least win games on his own.

Elway was better to begin with. He was a better prospect in college. Kyle Boller is not a great or even a very good NFL quarterback, and had no business being a first round pick. He will most likely turn out to be a serviceable quarterback, but one that will need lots of help to win.

i dont think pats will have a chance, they're losing both their off. and def. coordinator. my top 3 picks for the afc are the chiefs, colts, or steelers. chiefs are my hometown and fav. team. hopefully they can get something done with the boosted defense. my top 3 picks for the nfc would be the eagles, seahawks, or the rams. those are the only teams in the nfc that i see that have potential. the falcons recievers are just rediculous and mike vick cant do it all himself. i think the eagles and seahawks will duke it out in the championship. i cant really choose who would win tho, but for sure i would choose one of those teams to go.

Are you KIDDING me?
You do know that Bill Belichick held quite a bit of influence over Weis and Crennel, right? And that Weis's and Crennel's replacements are in-house guys who take after them, right? And that just about every meaningful starter from the defending Super Bowl is returning? And that Peyton Manning is their bitch? And that the Chiefs are far from a top 3 team in the AFC?
Actually, you know what? Keep on truckin'. Y'all didn't respect us last year, and if you didn't learn your lesson, that's a-okay with me.

Pats all the way, they're on a hell of a roll and I see no reason why it should stop, they're solid as a team instead of a leader and a bunch of lackeys.

Yeah, the Patriots only have one of the best teams of all time, and arguably the best coach of all time. Count them out!
They lost their coordinators, but they still have their team. And Belichick. Brushii might be gone, but they signed Chad Brown. They lost Branch, but they still have one of the best offensive lines in the game, one of the best running backs in the game, and one of the best QB's in the game.
Their secondary isn't too bad either...
They don't have a chance in hell.

I know the roster is updated because Chad Brown was on the roster. Maybe they worked something out, and it wasn't publicized at all.

Well, as long as the Pats keep holding together to core of their magnificent team, they are always going to be Super Bowl favorites. I could honestly see them doing it again, and although I am not a Pats fan by any means, I respect them immensly. It's not like the Yankees where they have loads more money than any other team to get exactly what they want and buy championships. They earned it with the same salary cap as every other team, and they did it working as a team, something that in this day and age of selfishness is almost unheard of. The Patriots, as long as they continue to do what they are doing, they will continue to win more championships.

Kaeding is a perfectly good kicker.
He shanked the FG against the Jets because he had to do it from 40 yards (thanks to Marty Schottenheimer's typically crappy playcalling) on bad field conditions.
He hit 20 of 25 field goals last season.
