My bags are packed and my train’s pulling in,
But your eyes are down like I give you chagrin.
I don’t know why you’re mad but I can’t talk it over,
You know I’m switching trains in Dover.

Hey, father, could you say goodbye?
I’d like to be gone, but I’d rather not die.
Oh dear mother if I send you a card,
I’d like an answer, shouldn’t be that hard.
There’s not much left but a leaving man’s sorrow
And the promise that I’ll call you up tomorrow.
Hey, lady, could you spare a kiss
To a leaving man who’d like to be missed

You might be upset, but I’m not committing treason
Just give me a smile, I’ll give you a reason.
Why do you got to treat me like this?
Did I say something wrong, did I stray amiss?

Hey, stranger, could you spare a smile?
Just a memento to forget in a mile.
I’d like it brother, if you looked my way
Sorry I got to leave, but you know I can’t stay.
There’s not much left but a leaving man’s sorrow,
And the promise that I’ll call you up tomorrow.
So dear sister, if you could just wave your hand
I know it’s not that tough of a demand.

Well I’m stepping into the crowd and I’m not looking back,
I’ve had enough of your unspoken attack.
I’m still going to miss you, though you don’t return the feeling
I didn’t know tears could be so appealing.

Just something I threw together in a few minutes of spare time... I hate the last part. And the third stanza, for that matter. Hell, I think I hate everything but the chorus-like parts.
