advice please?

hey i usually post in the bass forum being a bassist but im askin for alil advice and maybe some shared experiences. im a bassist and always have been but i like to write lyrics. im just afraid of showing people my stuff incase they dont lke it. does any one else have this problem and has anyone overcome it?

show irt here...this is where you are supposed to do that stuff..people will read your stuff and tell you that its good or bad...but most importantly they will give you advice on how to improve your stuff....so no need to be afraid here...

Just share it. How else are you going to know how to improve? I've been in the situation and eventually just showed someone and it has helped me tremendously.

By the way i think there is a thread for tips/advice... maybe you should have posted in there.

if you are afraid of people not liking your lyrics/making fun of them and you dont think you are a good writer...then write non-serious lyrics. No one can make fun of non-serious lyrics.

If I were you i'd try to find someone that your pretty tight with, and just show them your stuff and hopefully being the good friend that they are will be cool about it and tell you their honest opinion and tips and what not
