there are a couple, around. i had a look a short while back, its NOT an easy thing to make. kits cost about £50.
I'm just buying one ready made.
It's gonna pwn.

those tend to be painfully priced. if they were a bit more affordable i would buy one.

I don't know if you've seen that film clip of the John Spencer Blues Explosion performing live on Recovery. He uses a theremin in that song. It is wild.

Those things are almost impossible to actually play. And they make obnoxious noises if you don't know how.

wow I love that idea. One hand for the level, one for the pitch. Musn't be very easy though, you'd have to get a.. theremin teacher!! :lol:

No, I'm a mod that no one remembers, even though I've been around almost as long as anyone else who still posts.
I was locally modded for the Jazz & Funk forum months ago now, and then was later supered.

how easy would it be to make an osciallator like theremin type thing, with just variable caps and no antennae? like, almost a synth?
Theremin was a Russian spy (for Stalin).
Those things are almost impossible to actually play. And they make obnoxious noises if you don't know how.

that was an electro-theremin, i beleive. similar, but not the same.
