I'm not sure if this has been posted yet but here i go...

If I were to have a Soundblaster Audigy Platinum external sound card, or any other card of the sort with multiple inputs, how would I go about recording multiple sources, and what would be some advantages to having mutiple inputs? Also would each of these sources/inputs be recorded into their own seperate tracks...is this even possible/ what software could I use?? Right now, I wouldnt doubt it if you didnt have a clue what I was talking about, but basically I'm looking for help on recording with multiple sources. :)

Almost any multitrack recording software should be able to record all inputs to different tracks.

HAHA, I didnt even think about that, im not fimilar with soundcards with mutiple inputs, i just realized I might be able to go into guitar tracks pro and set each track to record from a different input... are there any other good programs for this, and could some give me a little tutorial on how to set up each track for recording from a different source? thanks a lot guys

Cubase (you can get SE for $99 US)
Cakewalk Studio (you can get it for $150 US or less)

Everything else I can think of is either ill-suited to multi-tracking, or costs a lot more.
