sorry if this is in the wrong place, but i guess u guys know a fair bit about recording and so forth so here goes:
i juat read the review for the Line 6 Guitar Port Riff Tracker and it looks quite good. I want a very user friendly, USB compatible way of recording and mixing at basic levels. i also require a drum programme
so, i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions other than this to look into or whether Line 6 stuff, on the whole, is good, reliable and user friendly
any thoughts, opinions, rants welcome
cheers :thumb:

it does look handy, but its very much a one trick pony. For not much more, you could pick up a USB audio interface and a behirnger v-amp 2 and have something that not only gve you great recordings, but that you could use live (v-amp) and for other recording situations (UsB interface)

do u happen to know how much that costs?
also, is it quite easy to use cos i'm a bit of a technophobe? i cant even seem to use the microwave without destroying something

It'll be harder than the guitr port. but nothing serious, press "record" on audacity.your recording software t record, and set it up with a lead going guitar - v-amp and another going v-amp - interface, with the interface plugging into the USB port. the v-amp itself is very easy to use with controls just like on an amp, and basic FX.

Line 6 is reliable and good sounding. But I'm talking about their pedals, although I doubt anything by them will be bad.
