Night Of The Living Dead is my favourite zombie film I have seen so far. Apparently George Romero is making another zombie film - I HAVE to see that. I really need to see more zombie films, I haven't seen many.

Zombies are definitely the greatest thing in horror. While others will have their moments, zombie films just have an overwhelming despair cast upon the characters, much like individuals feel compared to society.
It's so utterly, disgustingly great.

Zombie movies are amazing. My friend got me into them a while ago. Dawn of the Dead is my favorite.
A bunch of friends and I plan on making a zombie movie over the summer. :D
I've seen the George A. Romero films, but I don't know of any others. Could anyone recommend me some other good zombie films?
My favorites are Shaun of the Dead and Dawn Of the Dead, I want to see Dead Alive but I can find it in any stores.

Zombie films are great, always good entertainment with a lot of gore for kicks.
My faves that come to mind are,
The Dead Trilogy
Braindead
Evil Dead 1 + 2
28 days later wasnt too bad, the second half was lame though imo.

I thought it was great. It was the first film I had seen where the Zombies were portrayed as almost superhuman. In that they were fast and had great strength, before that they tended to be slow and really not that imposing.

That's what I liked about the zombies in the Dawn of the Dead remake. They were fast, and that made them scary.

The thing about slow zombies is that they're relentless. They don't overpower you (unless in high numbers) they wear you down--physically and mentally. These zombies are slow, weak, unintelligent, but very focused. Even us humans who individually are far superior than them, as a whole, still can't muster a great defense against them despite this seemingly great advantage in our favor.
The very notion of the dead returning to life is enough to unnerve most people. All of the grief, anger, denial, acceptance, and other emotions you go through all of a sudden return with their renewed presence; this alone would be responsible for the first hundreds of thousands of deaths all over the world regardless if they could run. Their resurrection also calls in to question life, the afterlife, religion, and God. Where is their soul during this, if there is one? After all, it is said that when there is no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the Earth. Where do the bad people go then? Is there no justice in the afterlife?
Lastly, they are the living dead; they are a representation of death. Death is something we always see as something that happens down the road, yet we always fear it. Day by day we feel as if it is creeping up on us.

Dawn of the Dead was so awesome. The first Resident Evil wasn't that bad, but the second one was terrible.

Yeah, Bad Taste rules too. It's crazy how Peter Jackson went from those to Lord of the Rings, he should have stayed where he was.

slightly straying from films .. did anyone ever play that java game where youre in a cage with a shotgun, shooting zombies climbing up the walls to get to you ?
It's based on the car park scene from the remake of Dawn of the Dead.
