I just saw this movie a few days ago, and it quickly stole spot in my Top 10 list. I loved it. It's a bio pic about Larry Flynt, the founder of **** magazine Hustler, played wonderfully by Woody Harrelson.
I've always liked Woody, but never thought of him as a great actor. He seemed like the type of actor that just played himself no matter what type of role he was in. But in this movie, he just stole every single scene he was in, and at no point do you remember he's acting. I wasn't surprised to learn he was nominated for an Academy Award for this role.
The supporting roles were just as good from Edward Norton, Courtney Love, and Crispin Glover. Norton, who plays Flynt's defense attorney, takes an otherwise boring lawyer role, and turns it into a great three dimensional character. Love was also fantastic as Flynt's stripper wife, and does a frighteningly believable job portraying her descent into heroin and painkiller addiction.

I also want to mention, what a great job the scriptwriter did. From what I learned this is a very accurate biopic of Larry Flynt, and also questions how much value people put on the freedom of expression in America. The movie tagline reads "You may not like what he does, but are you prepared to give up his right to do it?".

What does everyone else think of this movie?

I never watched it all the way through. What I've seen was good. Maybe I'll rent it and watch all of it.
