View Full Version : Worst Movie EVER! Recomendation.

Okay this is like the Movie recomendation thread, except the opposite.
The reason is I just bought a video having only seen the preveiw. I assumed it would have to be good from the Producer and line up of actors. I assumed wrong. I just cant beleive that people I thought could do no wrong proving me wrong. So I thought you might be interested to watch them yourself to be reminded why other movies are good.

Heres mine.

The Master of Disguise

Pistachio Disguisey, a sweet-natured Italian server at his father Fabbrizio's restaurant, can't figure out why he compulsively mimics his customers and desires to change his appearance. What he doesn't know yet is that these traits are part of the Disguisey family secret legacy. The family come from a long line of masters of disguise who are able to mask themselves as almost anyone or anything by harnessing the great power of Energico. Such a talent makes Fabbrizio the kidnapping target of his former arch-enemy Devlin Bowman, a criminal mastermind. Now Pistachio must make the most of his inherited power in an attempt to track down Devilin and save his parents.

and

The Pledge

Jack Nicholson is detective Jerry Black, a respected and well-liked veteran of the Reno police force retiring to a life of angling with more than a little apprehension. Thus he jumps into a murder case, the slaying of a little girl, a mere six hours from retirement and makes a promise to the grieving mother to catch the killer. As his partner (an effectively abrasive Aaron Eckhart) squeezes a confession out of the severely mentally handicapped suspect (a thoroughly unsettling performance by Benicio Del Toro), Jerry is convinced that they've got the wrong man.

Maybe I just didnt get it? It seemed to have gotten good reveiws on the net...

well, i saw a super bad movie that i don't think has ever gotten any good reviews. regardless:

Id probably have to say 'The Ghosts Of Mars.' **** that movie is bad, the storyline is so cliched its unreal, the only really good thing is the Ice Cube is very black in it, and does the whole 'You going down nigga' thing.

Also Steve Vai and and Anthrax did the theme tune.

I really recommend The Master Of Disguise, its almost sureal. Your watching it and from start to finish it horrible. As its playing your thinking 'no-one is so stupid that they would choose to fund or be in this movie'...

EDIT: Also its a good point to say why you dont like the movie or it could turn into a spamgasm

Well she gets me a remake from 92

Oh jesus, it was so bad, if you're ever bored you should rent it and get mates over to laugh at it

It was AWFUL!! :(

It was going okay at the start and was pretty freaky (like when he gets to the front door and there are mutilated dolls everywhere). Then Robbie must've been sitting around drunk thinking "hmmm what twist should I have for the end"??? Then him forgetting the movie was originally based in reality all of a sudden turns it into a friggin sci-fi with some wanna be Todd McFarlane crap at the end. Not to mention the utter bs about these hicks who couldnt tie their own shoe laces, being able to cover up the biggest serial killing slaughter for decades...

That was potentially one of the freakyest movies ever ruined because someones a try hard...

Army of Darkness and Legion of Doom 666, they're both B movies, but they're hilarious.

In army of darkness it takes place in a diner in the middle of nowhere, and you open a door in the kitchen, it takes you to a black abyss, which has nothing to do with the movie.

The Unbelievable. It's unbelievably bad. It's about these people in the woods who find a lost treasure. But it's guarded by an invisible monster (of course). So rather than leaving it there and running, you have your typical greedy American guy who sneaks some of it out, so the monster comes after them all and they have to kill it. It was a crap movie.

Pearl Harbor comes to mind. I don't think I've ever cringed this much at a movie before.

Yes, Plan 9 From Outer Space was bad, but it was amateur bad. Laughable bad. It had no expectations and no budget. Pearl Harbor, on the other hand, was expected to be GOOD by the people they made it. They invested hundreds of millions of dollars and countless months (if not years) of effort into what they felt was a top product. This was professional bad. Unwatchable bad.

Remember The Titans, too. They took a promising concept and made it absolutely, positively one of the most cheesy movies of all time. Maybe it works for non-sports fans, but as a football fan

(SPOILERS)

I was infuriated beyond belief by the state championship in the end. So the coach on the other team has the ball and the lead with about ten seconds left in the game, and instead of kneeling chooses to run one last play, which the Titans predictably force and recover a fumble on. Then, at their own 25 yard line, they run a double-reverse with the quarterback as the lead blocker and SOMEHOW they manage to score a 75 yard touchdown with no time left to end the game. And then as the team is celebrating, Denzel Washington's character goes up to the white coach he replaced--and, mind you, these two resented each other throughout the entire movie--and says "You're a Hall of Famer in my book!" Unbelievable. All that was missing was the crippled player jumping out of the hospital bed and shouting "I can walk! I can walk!" Utterly insipid drivel.

I was hoping no one would say this. It's a great film.

There are different types of bad movies - you get B-movies, which are designed to be 'bad', but in a thoroughly enjoyable way. There are plenty of them around which kick ***.

Then on the other hand, you get films which are just shite. My vote personally goes to Signs, with Unbreakable coming a very close second.

Those movies don't really count, as most of the people who've "seen" those films only saw the MST3K version, which instantly raises the enjoyment level one hundred fold.

As for worst movie I've ever seen, that would take some time for me to think about. Some candidates would be Wing Commander, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Alone In The Dark, Revenge Of The Dead (...dear God), and Elves.

NOTE: Plan 9 is not the worst movie ever. That movie is extremely enjoyable on a certain level.
