DMC 3 help

so I rented DMC 3 yesterday and I got to the cave with that big 3 headed dog,I start thrashing his a** and he has about 2 inches of life left and got really rabid on me and lundged out at me.Well of course I had already used a couple healths so I was making me mad,so every time he lunges at me with little life he has,he always kills me.Anyone got tips on how to destroy this piece of crap dog.

Stay to the very right as far as you can and when he jumps he usually backs up far for a second, and the wall on the right you can do a wall jump of off.

Use your guns, mash the square button, use the shotgun to break the ice and use the pistols to maul him, after he lunges you have a chance to hit his paw, do it, if you hit it enough times he falls down so you can whip out a few combos

Just stay to the right
