I reckon the first one was alright for a brainless action movie, but the sequel will be so ****house, i feel sorry for the poor suckers who go to see the movie. i don't reckon anyone will walk out goin "that was f__kin awesome", or at least sayin "that was alright"

It will be better WITHOUT him, he can't act for ****. I've seen the trailer, it looks pretty good I'm a fan of Ice Cube (even though he's not the best actor around) I'll probably see it when it comes out. Dunno when that is though.

Just watched a special preview screening last night.

Pretty danmed impressive. The stunts and gadgets are WAY over the top, but I didn't go in there expected any realism.

Ice Cube carries off the role of tough guy rather well.. though he is aided in this by the stunts and fighting he gets into.. it's hard not to look tough in those situations.

Lots of crappy gags, and the story line fell apart TOTALLY after five minutes of me and my fiancee dissecting the film. Foremost amongst all this is HOW Cube became the "new triple x" and also that there was no reason for the first ten minutes of the film.

The storyline is; bad guys want to kill the president and vice president and the speaker so that the mantle of control will fall onto the main bad guy. The best line in the film is where Ice Cube says "are we gonna let hustlers and thieves run this country".. to which another guy responds "why should tonight be any different?". That, of course, got no reaction from the audience.

All in all, you people in this thread who said stuff like "omgomgomg it wiLl bE ****ing ****nizzLe m/\N!, what a load of crap" need to work on the muscles that suspend your disbelief. Just like the first in the series, it's all about over the top stunts and ****-hot gun fights.

I'm not planning on going. I mean, the first one was suck and I cannot possibly fathom why no one in the higher-ups of Hollywood can tell that. I mean...who would devote another several million dollars to making a follow-up?...
