"The Mirror". Originally it was Mirrored Worlds, but the song has kind of taken on a different meaning over time. Definitely turned into more of an ambient..thing. Conjures up images and whatnot.
I know it didn't go down too well on first posting lol but since then, I've re-recorded...better tones, changed some things. Personally I think it's shaping up okay but...I could be, how do you say, too close to the forest to see the wood from the trees. If that's even a relevant saying here! Hehe.
I'll mention now that the drum programming near the end is just plain lazy. That's what several days on the same song does to ya! There are several rough spots, the odd click, pop here and there, yadayada. But it will all be ironed out eventually!
I won't preface it with much else - it's kind of evolved as I've worked on it, in varying moods and frames of mind :) The general idea is self reflection, seeing something under the surface, that wants to cross over/take control. Looking past/through the reflection, around it, etc. Or perhaps that you are the reflection...something pretentious like that! Blah blah yawn.
So make sure you have halfway decent speakers..oh and a spare 9:21 :naughty:
