My beloved Cavaliers are out of the playoffs. I am very upset about it. :upset:

How could they blow it?

Because they suck.

That baffles me. They had one of the best records in the NBA at one point, then they started to suck :(

it sucks, all they had to do was beat the **** Knicks a few days ago and they would be in.

Well, at least their franchise player consistantly produced.

One man can't do it all though. They'll be a good team soon. They should not have fired Silas though. Terrible move there.

Lebron's gonna leave.

I don't think he will. That's his team.

I think they'll figure out that you need more than one guy scoring the ball and get him some help. And he won't be able to leave for another 2 years anyway.

The Cavs have no point guard, no shooting guard, no coach, and no GM. Let's cut LeBron some slack, eh?

^^ BTW, my contest is now officially open.

He could demand a trade.

I really don't think he wants out of Cleveland..

I think he's shown great maturity and confidence in himself during the Cavs' downfall. He's been consistantly great, even though his team is sliding. It's just too bad that the rest of the team doesn't have that confidence.

He could demand a trade.
Even if he did, I think the way his contract it worked out, it'd be hard for someone to take him. And how are you going to get fair value for him? Plus, I don't think he'll still "want" to go after he cools down and starts thinking clearly again. I assume players think a lot of crazy things when your team falls that hard.

I can't stress again how horrible that coach is.

Take that Detroit game. They call timeout with the ball for the last shot, down three, and the best play he draws up is LeBron all alone 30 feet from the hoop? No picks, no screens, no nothing? "Here LeBron, hit a 30-foot three on one of the best defensive players in the NBA". Unbelievable.

He's got Jeff McInnis, who talks as much trash as a young GP (and has about 1/4 the talent), Zydrunas Ilgauskas (the worst All-Star ever), Drew Gooden (who in his last NCAA Tournament struggled against Holy Cross--nuff said), and a parade of scrubs: Tractor Traylor, Sasha Pavlovic, DeSagana Diop, Ira Newble, Lucious Harris, Jiri Welsch, and Eric Snow. This is because ex-GM Jim Paxson shouldn't be running a Dairy Queen, let alone an NBA franchise.

I've heard people say that LeBron is overrated, but come on, look at his team!

If the Cavs still had Boozer they would be in the playoffs right now. They really should've kept him, or got something in return.

This really has nothing to do with the Cavs, but its sweet.

I live in a suburb of Cleveland called Orange. 3 years ago (LeBron's Junior season in HS) we had an amazing team because Jim Chones (ex-Cavalier) triplet 6'7" boys were on our bball team (all went on to play d-1 bball) and Anthony Byrd (who know plays at Canisius in Western NY).

So we were great and we got a chance to play St. Vincent St Mary, which is where LeBron went. Basically our whole school was there (it was played at canton fieldhouse). We were winning at half time but ended up losing, i think LeBron had like 33, he threw down some crazy dunks. Ive had the pleasure of seeing him play 4 pro games and 2 high school.

Also the Lakers happened to be in town while that game was going on, so SHAQUILLE ONEAL showed up with Ron Harper wearing a huge Purple suit, it was an awesome experience.

Obviously Cleveland should have drafted Darko (Sam Bowie) Milic #1....

LeBron is a great player with a supportiing cast that sounds like a bunch of black **** stars. If he stays in Cleveland, that would be just another great class move for a very classy young man. I don't expect it to happen, but LeBron has a good head on his shoulders, and very well could prove me wrong.

I don't really feel bad because i think the Nets will put up a better fight for Miami...

VC > Lebron

I feel your pain, I am a huge Cavaliers fan..and with the Indians off to a less than stellar start, I was at least hoping I could see the Cavs at least taste the playoffs for a change. But they collapsed, that's all there is to it. They had many chances to clinch a berth but blew it. Lebron carried the team, but he couldn't carry them far enough. Hopefully, we'll get our act cleaned up and make a good run next season.

Because they fired a good coach mid-season and replaced him with an inexperienced one.

Their new owner (Dan Gilbert) got put into a bad situation and made a few panic moves (like firing Paul Silas).

I wouldn't blame LeBron for wanting out. This year the Cavs don't have a #1 (they traded it to Toronto for Sasha Pavlovic, I think) and next year they don't have a #1 (they traded it to us for Jiri Welsch), and after this there are rumblings that free agents don't want to play there (even local guys like Michael Redd are wavering on coming to Cleveland).

But they have to keep LeBron, because he's the face of the franchise and the only reason why fans show up. So he's doomed to spend the rest of his time in Cleveland (which I think lasts for three more years) played on mediocre 30 to 40-win ballclubs.

humucking fool: Calling Darko "Sam Bowie" would imply that Carmelo Anthony is Michael Jordan. Then again, you may be talking about Dwyane Wade, so I digress.

Yeah, he had a BIG impact on Detroit

Well, the year he got drafted, the Pistons one the championship, Lebron's team missed out on the playoffs and Denver got swept like a biatch in the first round, so I guess he really did do better than the other two

They need to completely rebuild the team. Luckily, this can be done in one season in basketball. I'd say keep LeBron(duh). Ilgauskus, Anderson Varejao, and Eric Snow. Besides that, everybody else needs to get out. Now.

Despite being a horrible player, Z is still one of the best centers in the east(besides Shaq and Wallace). So we can't really get rid of him. I'd say draft someone. Maybe will get the first pick again with our 2 lottery balls.

You guys don't have a #1 this year.

Z is better than Wallace, he is so much more productive offensively that i give him the slight edge. I have watched or tried to watch every Cavaliers game this year, and they way he just man handles every center in the east (besides wallace, shaq) on the boards is ridiculous. He just keeps tipping and tipping it until it goes in. He may have 3 to 4 offensive rebounds in a single possesion.

I think we need to keep. LBJ, Z, Sasa Pavlovic (good potential), Robert Traylor, Anderson Varejao, and Eric Snow. We need to get 1. Another scorer, 2. A pure shooter, 3. A head coach (flip saunders :) ),4. a GM (Paxon is garbage), and 5. A veteran PG with a little bit more skill than Eric Snow, who can show leadership with LBJ.

If all that can happen this offseason then the Cavs can be good next year.

And as to what i think about LeBron leaving. He doesnt want to. He grew up a Cavs fan because he lived 20 minutes away. Plus if he takes this team to greatness, it makes him look much better than doing it with an already established team.

Z is not better than Ben Wallace. Wallace is a force on the boards and on the defensive end, but Z disappears for long stretches at a time. Wallace is a lynchpin on a championship team for a reason.

The Cavs need to keep LeBron and Anderson Varejo (a legtimately useful hustle player--I like him) and MAYBE Drew Gooden, and that's it. Pawn Z off in a sign-and-trade to someone...maybe to New York for an expiring contract (Penny Hardaway? Tim Thomas?) and a #1 (New York has two #1s this year, theirs and I think Phoenix's). With the second #1 (30th overall), they could take a Francisco Garcia or someone like that, who is an immediate upgrade over Jeff McInnis.

Brevin Knight is a FA after this year, and if Charlotte turns him loose he could be a nice cheap PG.

I actually think that the Cavs are better with Z then they would be with Wallace, and that the Pistons are better with Wallace then they would be with Z. Z is the 2nd scorer on the cavs at i think like 17 a game or something like that, if they had Wallace, they would be even worse offensively.

Now Detroit on the the other hand is a defensive team, so they need a guy like Ben Wallace to anchor that D.
