Does this guy play a cop often or what?

Die Hard 1, 2, 3, and the in-pre-production 4.0
Striking Distance
Hostage

I haven't seen more, with him in them. I think merits its own thread.

My favorite actor. Here's a few non-police roles.

Pulp Fiction - Boxer
The Fifth Element - Taxi Driver
Unbreakable - Superhero
The Jackal - Imprisoned Sniper
Armaggedon - Oil Driller
Beavis And Butt=Head Do America - Drunken Smuggler

And that's just off the top of my head. :)

I guess that's what I get for putting a movie I haven't seen on there. I just always thought he was cop. Sorry.

Either way, the more hair he loses, the more badass he gets

Die Hard is probably my favorite ever role of his. However, I haven't seen Sin City yet, so I may change my opinion.

I love Hostage.

I think maybe it's just that he was type-cast at the beginning of his career and capitalised on that meaning he played a lot of cop roles and his cop roles are more well known.

He should be in more movies as a police officer. If I ever made a movie, with nothing to do with Bruce Willis, he'd get a cameo as a police officer who pulls over the main character or something, then gets shot at and then he goes on some badass killing spree.

Here's a few non-police roles.

The Jackal - Imprisoned Sniper

the jackal has just finished about an hour ago on ITV, and he does at least disguise himself as a cop in that when he's about to explode the first lady.

Bruce Willis wasn't a cop in Last Man Standing

How about this for a movie pairing:

Brian Dennehy as a police detective.

Bruce Willis as the conflicted police officer who gets the dirty work, has to catch the bad guys in the worst areas, and gets no credit.

Rene Russo as a lawyer/public defender for the scumbags(and a potential love interest for Willis)?

An idea. :naughty:

What are some of YOUR Bruce Willis pretend movies?

A reluctant hero gets swept into a conflict.

On his way to the conflict, a cop (played by Bruce Willis) pulls him over. While pulled over, someone shoots at the cop (Willis). Willis goes on a hardcore shooting spree, killing more people than both of the atomic bombs dropped on Japan put together.

The movie ends, the audience forgetting about the reluctant hero altogether. They're happy with the no-thinking-involved action of Bruce's pwnage.

Die Hard 4: Die Hardest.

McClean kills his daughter with a Beretta because he thinks its a sucky idea that his daughter gets kidnapped by some moron, and he kills the writer as well.
2 hour killing spree.
End.

I'm not a fan of Bruce, and interestingly the movies I enjoyed with him were non-cop roles.

Unbreakable.

6th Sense - he was a child psychiatrist.

Bandits - he was a bank robber.

He was in Pulp Fiction.

He = Awesome.
That movie is one of the greatest of all time, without a doubt.

I love Bruce Willis, but his role in "The Kid" irritated me in some parts.
