Darko Milicic scored 16 points, shooting 7 of 11 from the field and collecting 5 rebounds and 3 blocks in his first career start.

A little taste of what the future will hold for the much maligned Milicic?

Haha. Remember last years finals when he had to keep tape on his ears after he tried to pierce them himself?

I was watching sportcenter one week, and they made this big deal over Milicic coming into the game "and Darko Milicic comes into the game, you know what time it is, yes its garbage time"

I love how they coulda got Carmello Anthony, and completely wasted their pick on a guy who averages a few minutes maybe once a week

Haha, that guy's hilarious.

I want him to stay bad. It's NBA comedy at its best.

i think melo is a cancer. he and coach brown never got along in the olympics, it never would have worked out

But Larry Brown doesn't like him, so he wouldn't play.

I think Carmellos peak will come in just a few years. Darko has a lot more years ahead of him if you ask me. Wasn't he only 17 when drafted? Although I do agree it was a very odd pick.

Players take time to develop in every other sport. Why cant they have some development time in the NBA? Hes only about 20 years old, give him some time. He'll play more minutes next year, and maybe he'll be starting the year after.

I dont think he really fits in with Detroit that well though. Hes not very good defensively, I think he should be traded to a young running team like Chicago or Phoenix.

Darko will be a lot better if he has more playing time. Larry Brown never really plays him, therefore we can't see his true potential.

larry brown hates fogiegn players. Darko will get some PT next year because Larry will be gone. i look for Flip Saunders to replace him

That's true. If Larry Brown coached the Cavs, LeBron would be getting 10 minutes a night and Darvin Ham would be starting above him.

If Brown (hopefully) leaves the Pistons after this year, I'd expect Darko to get 25-30 MPG next year and average more than 10 points per game. In 5 years, he'll be an all star.

But Larry Brown doesn't like him, so he wouldn't play.

Tis the problem. Larry said that his ten-year-old son was more mature than Darco. He doesn't play with his back to the hoop like Larry likes his centers to do.

they have prince. why would they get another 3 spot. pistons like to stack up on big guys, and thats what they was trying to do.

i agree though, darko sucks. but carmello might of been better to get a trade out of it. but they have tayshaun prince, they dont need another small forward.

Darko really doesn't have a place on the team. Who is he going to start over? Ben or Rasheed?

I'd rather have Tayshaun on my team instead of that punk Carmelo. My bench would have no place for crybabies :)

Nah, he'll get playing time wherever he goes, and he'll at least be good at rebounding.
