Does anybody know how good an athlete this guy is? I've heard very little talk about him, and he is 6'6" 245 lbs, and runs a 4.37 40 yard dash. That is just unheard of. He can probably play anywhere on the field. Are there any major drawbacks that would prevent him from suceeding in the pros? I mean, with those numbers, you'd think he would be a top 10 pick.

He's going to be a WR or TE in the pro's, but played quarterback in college. He's like a taller, faster, stronger Antwan Randle El.

You're right though in that no one is as athletic has him in this draft, and, I'd wager, in 5 years no one will be a better player. When he gets into the NFL, he'll already be one of the top 10 athletes-him, Vick, Julius Peppers etc.

Experience. He's been a wide reciever for exactly zero games in his career. How do we know he is a skilled reciever?

He played WR in the senior bowl and caught 2 touchdown passes.

"and with the 28th pick of the 2005 Draft, the San Diego Chargers pick Matt Jones (as a WR) from Arkansas"

Neither of those teams need a WR, QB, or TE.

Pittsburgh needs another deep threat after they lost Plaxico. So maybe.

Philly may need a WR if Owens continues to act like a child. *prays*

I just watched the whole 2 hours of espn.com's mock draft, and they do have him going to Philadelphia, so who knows.

Roethlisberger-to-Jones would have to be the biggest QB-WR hookup ever, right? Jones is 6-6, 245, Big Ben is 6-5, 240.

I think both Pittsburgh and Philly could use another receiver...

Even with TO, who is Philly's next option? Freddie Mitchell?

And now, without Plaxico, the Steelers 2nd receiver is Antwaan Randle el. He's not bad, but not quite 2nd receiver status.

The Raiders are in at 26 now....they dont really need him, but that would be pretty cool to have him. Randy Moss - 6'4" Jerry Porter - 6'3" Matt Jones - 6'6".....not many teams would be able to defend that.

You could have Jesus playing reciever, it won't change the fact that Kerry Collins' best days are behind him.

They did pretty well without him most of last year.

The Eagles have good receivers. Pinkston, Mitchell, and Owens can have some great games.

Ya I know, but Kordell Stewart could be a good quarterback with Moss and Porter, then add in Jones, and voila you have happiness.

Todd Pinkston - 36 catches, 676 yards, 1 touchdown
Freddie Mitchell - 22 catches, 377 yards, 2 touchdowns

Everyone has a decent game every now and then, that doesnt mean they're good receivers. Those are 4th and 5th receiver numbers.

Owens was obviously the main TD threat, but those guys can produce. Sure, the stats are excellent but they're undoubtedly good players. They don't need another receiver. They could do better things with that pick.

Don't forget that Westbrook is just as much a receiver as anyone else on that team. Throw him into the mix and they have a nice group of receivers.

I agree, they could better use the pick on another position. But I still think a real #2 receiver would help them. Freddie Mitchell and Todd Pinkston have the skills, but for some reason they just dont produce enough.

Kordell's just not a good quarterback..he'd have been better to play reciever...

I think Collins will have a good year this year-he didn't do too badly last season even though he had few targets.

Kordell Stewart is a horrible quarterback, no two ways about it.

He's really not that great at any of his 536 positions.

But he does the most damage to his team when he plays quarterback.

No, it was just an example saying that any QB could be good with Randy Moss and Jerry Porter to throw to.

2 picks ahead of Oakland, darn :(

I doubt the Raiders would have drafted him anyways.
