so i've heard that a silent hill movie is going into to development, to be released this summer... i'm looking forward to it, but i don't want to get my hopes up. i've played and beaten all 4 games, (i think) with each ending in all. I'm just afraid that it's going to be one of those movies that barely relates to the game at all, and is just horrible in itself. if anybody has heard anything, please tell!! :thumb:

Yea Im a big a SH fan. The story of the movie wont be like the story of any of the games. What I have read is that the movie will be about a mother and her daughter.

If the movie goes off the first game, like a carbon copy, that'd be one scary movie. I loved the first SH, but the laters ones fell out of taste rather quickly. They just couldn't match the original.

They should do a Cinematic of the first or second game. I'll be pissed if the movie has nothing to do with the game.
has anyone noticed more and more games are becoming made into films? Its like Games are becoming more accepted as an art form now. Not long till you will be able to study them in schools.

I would so do that.
Silent Hill movie if done correctly would rock, as most action/adventure/rpg games now-a-days have better narratives than half of the Blockbuster movies being released.
Pop music sucks

Konami is supervising script development, so it should've suck that hard.
But anyways, I have high hopes that it's gonna be a good movie, because the games were so well done. I just wish that the movie will have the same treatment as the games have had.
Right now the production team is building all of the sets in Toronto. They don't look to bad either.

Welcome to five years ago.
Anyways, it's my understanding that one of the writers or something is working on the movie, so it's suppose to be a contrast to action horror movies like Resident Evil; that is, it'll actually be scary.
Edit: Italics = what the guy above me said.

A mother searches for her daughter and ends up in the town of Silent Hill
dude, what happened to Harry, he was the main reason why the first one kicked ***. Not only that, I can totally see this movie sucking ***, and that will very much disappoint me.
