Done my first AS exam two days ago, Physics practical, it was a piece of cake.
Most of my other exams are gonna be hard though.
No, its a quicktime file I have on my laptop. I found a site that can host it I think, but it'll take 6 hours to upload so I'll do it some other time.
The easiest way to do that would be to export it as a .avi file (Which will be a huge filesize, but don't worry), and then convert that to a .wmv
It will take a while, but to convert to .wmv you can use Stoik Video Converter (http://www.download.com/3000-2194_4-10113469.html). Easy to use, and it's free (Well the version I have is, don't know about any new ones, just getting it now). That will greatly cut the size of the movie without losing much quality
I'm aware that when you come back online to see this, you probably won't, but it's the thought that counts

God, the amount of times I've seen the word "emo" thrown around in Kerrang is both ridiculous and ****ing annoying. Finch are not emo. Alkaline Trio are not emo. Funeral For A Friend are not emo.
Anyway, they reviewed Say Hello To Sunshine by Finch this week, so hopefully that will leak soon. First time I've bought Kerrang in months as well!

Kerrang firmly buttrape anything popular, give it AIDS and then beat it with a huge stick until it's classed as sexual harrasment
Rock Sound and Metal Hammer are the way to go, although MH has been leaning a bit badly lately

Hello all.
Hey what's wrong with our YSI thread? OK so it's small compared to the other ones, but still worthwhile.
I dunno, it just doesn't appeal much to me. If anyone wants anything then feel free to ask, I'll upload it. But there's nothing I particularly want to download in there.
I think people should put the type of music the band is next to whatever they have uploaded, so other people have an idea of what they sound like

It's going to be one of the most awesome games for the PS2, I can feel it. You get to interogate people! How sweet is that? 3 levels were on play at E3, apparently, it's really easy to pick up but fun at the same time

Making The Movie: Sin City was a bit of a letdown. It was basically the cast discussing how it was to work on greenscreen and how amazing the movie was. You know what, I've never really criticized that song. It doesn't really flow as well as I thought it could've, and the lyrics are very mainstream for the "we hate the government" generation. And it probably shouldn't be as long as it is
But still, the music is decent. You have to give them that. That riff in the chorus, it's just so memorable. I humm is all the time when we are with friends, and one of them just starts singing "Everybody's going to the party, have a real good time".
It might not be a great SOAD song, but it's one of the catchiest songs I've heard in a long time. Whether it's pop or pop-punk or rock, nothing even compares with this in terms of how it gets stuck in my head
Toxicity was great all the way through, I could listen to it in one straight go.
But Steal This Album had only around 2 good songs, the rest were  so I hope this album isnt the same
Steal This Album was just b-sides and rare songs I think

Well, I'm not saying they're a bad band. Some of their music is cool, but alot of the time, it's their lyrics and vocals that drive me away from them. Something about it just irritates me to no end. I know what you mean, Serj's singing pisses me off a lot sometimes as well. It just seems so goofy and like he's just messing around. But their backing vocals, he can sing well.
Also, the lyrics seem like they wrote them after smoking weed. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the odd song like that. But I mean, most of the songs on the new album seem a little half-assed. Cigaro is fun to listen to for the humour, but it goes away after a while and seems a tad immature after a few listens

I know :D
1 hour until it is on isn't it? 11.35 I seem to remember.
I hope it goes back to the funniness of old videos, we had quite a few boring ones like All My Life, Times Like These (Both versions) and Have It All, although Low was pretty good.

Yeah, I remember the guitar work really impressing me on TSOAF. He did that really fast strumming style that was so cool and I was like "This is Finch's guitar?" Then I heard "Ink" which also blew my mind.

Yeah, new Finch work is heavily underated. On Absolute Punk, they have been written off as sell-outs and utter crap, and I just think "Why?". I mean, they can't release another WIITB, not now. I say that alot, but it's true.
The main thing that pissed me off about TSOAF though, is that there's only 4 real songs on the album. I mean, they are very varied, but still, that's like 18 minutes of songs, and the album is 34 minutes long.

I doubt it will, I think Foo Fighters have grown out of that little phase. Low was an extremely funny video I thought. I little twisted, but that's OK. It had Jack Black in, and he's awesome

Bull****. The new sound is so bitchin' and it's definitely doesn't sound like anyone out there right now save maybe Glassjaw, but the band has always been open about his love for Glassjaw. I'd go far as to say the two new songs already beat the whole WIITB album.

I agree completely. Both musically, vocally and lyrically, Finch are way better than the WIITB years. That's a very generic album to today's standards, and all the songs I have completely destroy that album. I'm so psyched to be seeing them now, I've heard them play Ink and Ravenous live through mp3s, and they sound so vicious
Ink is just one of those songs which everyone will remember Finch by, and Brother Bleed Brother is underated I think. I mean, the breakdown in the middle is so tense

You ever realise how people are really not good sometimes.
I'm just listening to this song that I was listening to a lot last year when my gran died, and it reminds me of something that happened at college today.
This girl in my class was talking to my biology teacher (by the way he's the best teacher in the world, no contest), and she said "I might not be in lesson Monday, my gran's dying" and he said "Don't worry about it! If you ever need anyone to talk to, just remember I'm here"
Last year, when my gran died, I had to miss one biology lesson because of her funeral, and when I went to my teacher first thing the next morning I said "I'm so sorry I missed the lesson, I was at a funeral, could I have the notes from the class" and my old biology teacher (absolute bitch) said "I'm not going to give you the notes, you'll have to copy it off someone else who turned up to the class". So I did copy up the notes (guiding us on how to do our coursework), but my friend hadn't copied them down exactly properly so I ended up failing that piece of coursework and having to retake it while the rest of the class did other work
Some people in the world are bastards, and others are the coolest people you could ever want to meet. It's all the luck of the draw. That's Jas' piece of wisdom for the day.

It's the bit where it does the lead, rhythm and drums. Then rhythm and drums. And then it just dies out, and it goes into the "I'll hold my breath" part. It's just so amazing
The other songs are really good too. Fireflies, Revelation: Song, Ravenous and Insomniatic Meat in particular. The bit in Insomniatic Meat where Nate is just screaming "This is the worst thing that you have ever done" over and over and over, it's really scary actually. His voice gets so deep on the new songs, especially Ink

I have a teacher, Mr. Wilson. He teaches Geometry and I love him. He's always nice and he's easy to convince to not give any homework. And unlike some other teachers, I'm not afraid to go ask him a question because he doesn't make you feel like a complete idiot if you're wrong or have no idea what you're doing.
Cool teachers are the best. The ones that you know you can talk to if something's going on and they're almost like a really good friend.

Let me get this straight. Her teacher let her take Monday's lesson (3 days away) off because she said her gran was dying? How is that ethical? I mean, I would never use that as an excuse to get out of school. I can understand if it's for her funeral, but if she's in hospital where she's being treated the best she can?
I don't really agree with her teacher's decision as harsh as it may sound, but I agree with you. He had no right to go off on one at you for going to your gran's funeral. I'd be so pissed at one of my teacher's if they did that, and I probably would have said something to them.

Yeah exactly :) He hardly ever gives us homework, either, and when he does he says "I know this time of year is difficult, with all the pre-party exams, but if you could do this it'd be brilliant". And whenever people with low confidence get questions right he knows what to say to them to make them feel like they should speak up more.
Let me get this straight. Her teacher let her take Monday's lesson (3 days away) off because she said her gran was dying?
No, not exactly. She basically said "I don't know if I'll be at the lesson on Monday, because my gran is quite ill. Kind of dying". Which meant, if her gran died on Monday, she might not make it into college. Which I can kind of understand, I mean I wouldn't have taken a day off but some people might be really close to their grans and be distraught.
My graphics teacher is awesome, me and he can sit there for most of the lesson talking about music, he recomends me bands, and we talk about shows, etc.
Yeah, haha, it's similar with this teacher. The other day I went up to him and said "I don't think I'll be at the lesson this afternoon, I'm going to London" and he said "Oh, what band are you seeing?"... I was like " Band? Oh no, I never said that... Ok so I'm going to see a band. Thanks for being so understanding". And he laughed, and said "What you think I never skipped a lesson to see a band before? But I went to see real bands". Then he started to talk about Hendrix and Cream and how Green Day were too corporate... What a guy.

I can understand a little, but I mean what's to say she doesn't die, and then the girl says "Oh she didn't die, but she might tomorrow. So I won't be here, OK?". It seems like a bit of a redundant excuse to me. But I guess that's just my opinion

I'm not feeling the new Foo Fighters song at all. The lyrics seem so forced and repetitive, and Dave's singing isn't so much singing, more him shouting the lyrics for most of the song.

It was good. Serj even played guitar in some songs, it was all around goodness. They played more old stuff then new stuff too... Matter a fact the only new song I could remember played was BYOB.

Dan really scares me sometimes, judging by the last page anyway
I have a dilemma. I have money. Well, I have 2 option
1) Go into town, have a look around and buy a DVD or CD
2) Save the money, because Fall Out Boy comes out next week, and I'd like to have some money to take to Finch

Yeah I suppose. I might go into town though, have a look around and see if anything decent is out.

1. Go out and skate with my mates
2. Play football with my mate
3. Stay in and sit on my *** on the computer
