Depends what you want to end up playing I guess...I'm not a major authority on Piano, only re-took it up a few months ago, but I find that if you want to build up speed, you should try and learn Scottish Jigs and Dances, and Classical Piano Pieces.

(P.S. if you find any fast melodies you would like to learn, which don't have specific left hand arrangements, I recommend once you've mastered the melody at the correct speed in the right hand, to try it out in the left hand)

Edit :- Oops, I forgot, if it's prog-rock you're interested in playing, "Total Keyboard Wizardy" is a good book to get as a kind of side thing. I wouldn't base your whole learning off of it, but make your way through it anyway, because in the long run it should be helpful for Improvisation and Speed.
