yeah, i think they will probably bring it out (plus44) around november if all goes well. As for blink, i honestly cant see them getting back toghether ant time soon, if at all. I think they are over but do not want to let there fans down by actually admitting it.

Summer in America is winter in Australia...so that means now or around now the record should come out, which is unlikely, because they haven't had very long to make it or anything.

The album is supposed to come out next year.
As for blink, I really don't know what is going on. Tom should really speak to the public. This is driving the fans nuts and many blink fans are putting the blame on Tom.

but it is him who wanted the break !
they will be back give it a year

tom will be at home in a year and he will miss the touring and s/hit

i want to hear what he has to say aswell

on www.blink182online.com on meet the barkers (i live in ireland so i havent seen it yet )on the comments for one of the epasodes (in the comment box )people were sayed
" tom f/ucked blink up"
"tom didnt want any thing to do with blink any more"

Yeah, people just became paranoid about the whole blink incident. If Tom just spoke up, blink fans wouldn't have this problem. All the fans are now assuming and are saying those stuff. I'm just so disappointed at Mark and Tom, especially Tom.

Bro you really need to go to school and learn how to spell correctly. That's just annoying. I'm really looking forward to the plus44 album, because I really want to know what the music will be like. I personally prefer Tom as a songwriter over mark, especially after what he did with boxcar racer, but it should be interesting to see what this band will be like and what that carol heller (is that her name?) offers to the band.

i dont think that would be the list. It is pretty obvious the list is to much for one cd, and almost not enugh for two cds. Is there a live dvd of blink in concert, like a full concert, not just a few songs like on urethra 1+2.

that cd was the biggest waste of $20, lucky i did not buy it. It contained all the normal self titled songs plus a few extra from chicago or something. i hope the greatest hits is worth the money they will charge for it. I think $30 for a twin cd set would be pretty rad. And another $30 for the dvd, or you could get them as a package for $50. But it would probably be double those prices.

Although all the official statements from the band have all had the same 'Indefinite Hiatus' PR bollocks all over it T-ravis is the only one thats said anything like 'blink 182, as far as I am concerned, is over'. How much more negative can you get?? The only way blink are gonna be back is if they find somebody new or if they magically work out the kinks with Scott. Which in itself is doubtful. Soooooo, who could replace Travis as drummer if blink 182 ever reformed for another tour to publicise the forthcoming Greatest Hits package?

lol, that's funny because a lot of people honestly have done that. I've listened to them since 1997, but didn't actually own any of their CD's until late '99/early '00 and that's when they definately became my favorite band. Hell, that's when I started getting into music period. Before that, I knew of like 5 bands, blink, Green Day, Offspring, Backstreet Boys, N' Sync, and I only liked the first three. What horrible days those were for me!

Why would Tre do it? You might be right about the SoCal thing though. Everyone who I know in the IE area who drums seems to be into nothing but hardcore and death metal. Take away their double bass and they are lost.

This is my first time in this forum, and I think Blink 182 isn't great, but Travis Barker is in fact listed as one of the greatest rock drummers of all time, and I've been listening to him in BLink, Transplants, and Boxcar, I want to see him in Plus 44. But I would have to say, until their un-titled album, Blink's songs limited Travis' talents. He holds the world record for the fastest single stroke roll. (drum vocab). And even though Tom and Mark plays like 4 chords per song, they're hilarious.

Tre has never recieved the Greatest Drummer of the Year award or doesnt hold the world record for the fastest single stroke roll. My 11 year old brother can plays better than Tre.

finnally some one with sense. tre is crap.name any of his beat which are descent. most of them are begginers

just to name a few of travis

adams song ( the cymbal work and the tom roll in the verse i dont here anything like that in greenday)

anthem part 2 (the cymbal work in the verse is alot better than anything from greenday.

stockholm syndrome ( even the roll at the 10 second mark is better than tre has come up with. throughtout the song there complex beat. the bit where mark sings "im so lost...." fast hi hating

First date- lets see you play the first 3 seconds properly

mutt- again the first the seconds are betetr than tre has done

lost without you- well i think we all no

not now - the opening beat on the toms the verse with the hi hat work

box car racer - antyhing even "there is" he created that not like tre wat he does in hitching a ride wat u learn when you first play drum on the snare a basic snare beat

travis barker drum solo there is no way tre could compare....

thanks

please name some song which u think are hard by greenday

im not saying tre is bad but he is no travis barker.

travis does not play beats that fit the music, his fills are to complex for a pop-punk sound, they make blink sound to polished. I liked the simple 4-4 fills that scott did in dude ranch. That sounds way more real. Travis may be a faster and more skillful drummer, but tre s drumming always fits green days music, if you know what i mean. :thumb:

snare---xxxxXxxxxxXxxXXXxxxXXXxXxxXX the bigger x's are louder.

edit--- i play drums now so tommorow if i can be botherd ill record it for u. but my sticks are snapped and ducktapped up so they wont get much bouce so itll be hard.

You mean accent the notes. Also, Travis holds the record for the fastest single stroke roll? Amazing. I have to say, Tre is a pretty decent player. Listen to his fills in Basketcase. I have to go with Travis being a better player. Also, Travis sometimes over plays the fills, in some songs, he's better off not adding fills. Especially when they play live, he adds monstrous fills that don't enhance the song. Besides that, Travis is awesome.

They're different, get over it.

Travis is a fantastic drummer, who learnt a lot about funk, marching band and more new wave style music and is pushed as the main talent in the band.

Tré is a fantastic drummer who learnt a lot about blues, rock and isn't pushed as a the main talent in the band.

The fact of the matter is this: on TOYPAJ especially (and to a large extent on the Pink Album), Blink 182 wrote guitar parts which were intended to emphasize Travis' skill on drums.

Greenday write drum parts to emphasize the rhythm in the guitar, and their main focus isn't and has never been showing off how good Tré is. It's always been all about BJA's songwriting.

I'd say they're both amazingly good (and many talented drummers I know wouldn't choose between them) but shouldn't be compared, and can't be compared.

This thread is losing all existance, so here's a topic for you fanatics to talk about;

On the Box Car Racer community, someone posted about a new Blink-182 DVD called "Not Guilty" being released on 18th July. Here's the link (http://www.virginmegastores.co.uk/invt/645241) to buy it from Virgin, but there's no picture, and no word from Geffen or Blink-182 about the DVD

It could be, since a while ago with an interview with Absolute Punk, band manager Chris Georggin said they had enough footage for the Urethra Chronicles 3 DVD

Thoughts and comments?

I know they do it a little at shows (Mark on keyboard, guitar and drums = Priceless), and you can tell by the Cheetah videos they had so much fun making the latest record. But if it isn't entertaining, it seems like a little bit of a cash-in to me

Blink is all about the comedy. If they dont keep it around then the band just wont go on.

If Tom is reading (and we know he does) get funny again!

To be fair, fart jokes and one-liners about "your mom" get old after about 10 years

You can't see Tom telling Mark a joke about the latest happenings in the news at a show can you? Well, unless it's about Bush or something I guess. Everyone is jumping on that bandwagon

I hope they put the cheetahvideos on the DVD, but longer and like a documentory.

And the Joke thing, they made some penor jokes and stuff the second time we saw them, they did joke about a bit then, but nothing like on the mark tom and travis show, they end of that after man overboard is so **** funny.

This thread is losing all existance, so here's a topic for you fanatics to talk about;

Good, finally something new that might have some information on it.

As for the"funny" thing. I have to agree with everyone who's saying that fart jokes probably get a little old after 10+ years. They still told a few when I saw them last, but they mainly just played and were really good at that.

As for the Bush thing, well Tom actually campaigned for Kerry, so that's actually doing something. They might not have been on either of the RAB comp's but, they still did something.

They did use to be really funny, and i reckon there will a new band that takes over were they left of, but only when this crappy emo phase finishes.

It's located right off of the 8 Freeway right by Mission Bay and the San Diego Sports Center or whatever it's called. It's also somewhat close to Sea World although not exactly. It's in the city itself and is actually pretty easy to miss if you haven't been there before. Why do you ask?

the best way to learn lyrics is to sing them out loud, then sing them in your own head. Do it three times and you are guaranteed to remember

Cool. San Diego's a nice place and it has one of the best punk scenes in the US. Soma is also a really good venue, and the last time I was there, Rise Against put on an awsome show. And, just in case you didn't know, Scott Raynor is actually like the Community Events Coordinator there, so as far as I know, you will probably meet him if you want to play there. I'm hoping my band will one day be able to play there as well.
