hello there everyone. its been a while since ive said hello so i thought i would just say hello, and for those of you who have been emailing about the adventure video, we are so stoked that you like it (for the small amount of you that werent into it, keep watching it, hopefully youll like it over time) im sure its not what many of you expected but try to think outside the box. our website is up and running now and we are adding stuff to it by the day so be sure to check it out. a lot more shows that we keep comfirming will be posted up as soon as we can announce them so stay tuned.
back to angels world, yesterday we did a photo shoot for the album and i cant wait to see how the photos turned out. im sure you all will be seeing some photos as well as soon as we get them back. other than that we continue to practice nightly and get ready for our record to come out and get back on the road and tour.

he's blowing AVA up to be this huge band and will change the world, when it probably won't be anything that life-changing or important.

i'm still probably going to buy both albums though, if AVA is good i don't care if it's not as good as tom says it will be, as long as its pleasurable to listen to.

it's like when people like bands that nobody knows, then they create the exact same type of music, but people actually find out about them and they go mainsream and everyone who liked them before they got big is like "OH THEY FÜCKING SUCK!" when really its the same music, just bigger fanbase and more than likely more money for the band (which can lead to better recording quality if the old stuff was rough recordings)

I jus hate the fact he's claming this new band to be prog, a la pink floyd. Fair do's I can only judge on the leaked songs, but just because Tom Delonge can produce songs better and use a keyboard doesn't by any means make it prog. Its still the same three chords.

No, not quite. While I would have been less likely to have even heard of AVA this early if not for my previous obsession, I don't think that me having in the past praised Tom Delonge as a god will effect how I react to his music. If it sucks, it sucks. Right now it's pretty okay, I like it. I'm into nice sort of happy, relaxing music at the moment so at the moment, it's fitting in quite nicely.

And I don't believe pink floyd to be prodigy music either. I respect them for their musical ability, but I definitely wouldn't state them as the be all end all of music.

Well I think the self-titled was a very good album but not their peak. In my opinion Enema of the State was their peak. Although Dude Ranch did boost them a lot. The transition they made from TOYPAJ to the ST was freaking huge. I have to say I never saw it coming.

Gotta agree with you Agent Orange; although the S/T stuff was very clever musically, I personally preffered the attitude and sound of Dude Ranch and Enema and I very rarely listen to S/T. I have to be in the mood for it, and I'm much more in the mood for listening to the happier, funnier, more summery stuff of the older days. Can't wait for summer :)

This is completely different.
All of the songs are found on Buddha, Flyswatter or Cheshire Cat, except for 3. One song called 'Better Days', and then 2 others that are untitled.
The extra songs aren't really anything special, and if I recall correctly, Tom sings them all, and his voice was way worse back then.
