Greatest Hits is pretty cool. They have the radio edit of Dammit and a shorter version of Josie. Plus Not Now and Another Girl, Another Planet are pretty good.

lol, yeah, i meant that. I went to the thursday night show in march, and i forgot about the wednesday one. On channel v the other night they played the whole blink set from big day out 2000, it was pretty good, although tom ****ed up every song lol.:lol:

lol i was just reading this magazine this that comes in the herald sun (melborune news paper) and they really bagged simple plan alot and they really like blink 182.....

first of all simple plan are releasing a live album they wrote crap about it and then they said "at least with blink 182 you no your gunna get 1 or 2 quility poo jokes between each song"

then

they wrote in a bit in news "new blink 182 album" and underneath they said all there singels blah blah blah really makes a mockery of simple plan....

I think it's being exaggerated a little bit. Mark and Tom were friends for most of their lives, I can't see how they could stay mad at each other for long. Especially over something so trivial.

Yeah, I read somewhere that they just had changed and they didn't think they could progress much further as a band, plus Tom needed to be with his family. Yeah Mark was a bit pissed that Tom had Boxcar, but he was pretty much over that, they've gone their separate ways and they're all behind each other.

Imo, this is better. 2 good bands (hopefully) coming out of one band, and from both sides of the whole thing, it would be like Blinks music split up. Then you'd be able to see exactly what aspects of their music each of them put into it a lot more.

Yeah, I think AAA is going to be better, possibly not though. I've always preferred Tom and his voice/style. So I'm a little biased.
I've been listening to Boxcar stuff over and over lately..(As Matt could probably tell you) and it's got me in a really big Tom mood. Tom can do amazing things if he wants to. If he's talking this AVA Thing up this much, I'm either saying he's saying it just trying to make Mark jelous (sp?) or he's got one of the best pop-punk/punk/whatever genre this is gonna be albums of all time. Maybe not the best, but it should blow your mind.

Yeah it has, but, the thing is so has hardcore, metal, grunge etc, but it always finds its way back. Old school skate punk was rad. I eremember when i was in year 7, which was in 1997, if you skated you listened to pop-punk. I wish that connection still existed. The problem these days is that to many bands try to copy blink in their enema era, and they all just sound the same, and really gay. Emo, is already practically dead.

Almost a third of the greatest hits are from their self-titled....it was a good CD, but christ. I didnt have huge expectations for the greatest hits anyway, because I pretty much knew it would be like that, but still.

really? I heard it for the first time a few days ago, and thought it was a disorganized mess. but I hate most songs the first couple of times I hear them. Not sure why, but I can't sort out the song until i've heard it a few times. I hated STFTK the first five times, and suddenly it got cool. Dammit didn't seem catchy to me at all. I usually couldn't even remember how it went. After I heard it maybe 10 times It got stuck in my head and now i'll never forget it.

2. Carousel- Self Explanitery
3. M+Ms- Great Song, cool guitar playing, one of the best tracks on Cheshire Cat.
4. Fentoozler- Such a good song, great lyrics and really catchy.
5. Peggy Sue (Live)- The live version is so much better with the guitar solo.
6. Wasting Time- Lyricly, musically and vocally one of the best Blink songs ever.

Everytime I look For You: Not much to say, I like it.

Honestly, I think that their current greatest hits was the best choice they could have made. After all it's a greatest hits. not a 'best of'. It's their most famous songs, not the best. These songs are my favorites, but they are not the most popular.

You know what I would have never expected that from a noob. Good job.

I do like not now, and i heard it when i bought dragging the lake 3, but i like another girl, another planet more. I was listening to dude ranch last night again, and may i say, that if another band came around with that kind of sound and charisma that blink had, i would buy their cd.

Yeah, I first heard Not Now off of Dragging The Lake III...It's an awesome cd.

If another band came out with a Dude Ranch style album I'm not sure if I'd buy the cd. I mean it's awesome and all, but I don't look at Dude Ranch style music and earlier pop-punk stuff as the future.

Here's a question for ya's all..now in all honesty when your 30 will you still be listening to Blink?

I'd say I might be, but not for sure. I dunno, I may mature alot between now and then and my musical likes may change with that.

Both of these CD's would really kick it off with Carousel and Feeling This. They'd really set the tone for the rest of the album. Also the ending tunes would really work well, with the second Disc basicly blowing you away with the last few tunes. I'm Lost Without You would have that really strong "this is the end" feel to it and then when you'd say to yourself "Oh it's over", In comes Anthem Part II. The end of this one would finish it off, as a nice fairwell.

To your question earlier, I don't think I will be listeningto Blink when I'm 30. I will probably have the CDs kicking around, and I might pop the CD in once in a while, but I doubt they will be one of the bands I will listen to a lot.
