everytime I try to write a song it comes out as a love song but I have a bunch of em ...what could I do to write real rock and not all love songs

jokes aside, think about something else in the world, try forced writing or find something that brings you muse. Transes radio brought me to Nicotine, piece that nobody understands or crits properly :) but I liked the way of writing that.

I don't know if you're a musician or not, but i'm a guitarist and when i'm stuck for ideas i just mess around with some chords/riffs etc for a bit. I usually find that it doesn't take long before i play something that creates an image in my mind unexpectedly. After that i just mess about with some lyrics for a bit and see what happens. I know it's a slightly haphazard way of doing things but it works for me. Hope this helps. If not try looking outside the field of music for inspiration. A good rock song can come from just about anywhere.
