Hey Ramsey, what's new?
I'm leaving tomorow for Massachusetts, so I have to do a lot of packing tonight.
Not much bud, i'm going to transfer all my credits to Lebanon because i'm now going to LAU (Lebanese American University) to major in Animation and 3d design. So yeah, big changes here too. :)
Have fun dude. What you going up for? (assuming you were below Mass)

But yes, that was a stupid thing to say. I swear you go through my posts and look for dumb stuff i say just to bring it up and make me feel bad.
Naw, not really. Just that was a really bad post that need to be corrected. :p

Yes sir. I got sick of living in the U.S.
Trasnferring to Lebanon, and besides, its my original home. :) (I'm Palistinian, but my dad was raised in Lebanon, so he's technically a Lebanese, so I was raised as a Lebanese kid and as an American one...so I really don't know what I am :( but i'm from that region if that helps :) )

I remeber it being Arucard, but yes, that is the qoute.
I better tell you the reason behind wanting it too. I wrote a song, its about Hellsing, its called Hellsing, and i think it would be cool to have that qoute before the music starts/during the breakdown.

Oh nah, i'm not really Arabic if you meet me, its just blood. My citizenship is American, seeing that I was born and raised (a bit) there.
My parents couldn't be more happy, seeing that i'll be closer to them. (they live in Kuwait and I was originally in Florida. I made the choice when I was in Kuwait, and I still am in Kuwait. My brother is shipping my stuff here. :))
So no dual nationality. Even if I did, it would be an American passport and a Palestinian refugee pass, since Palestinians were and are denied a passport and we are technically refugees (I'm second generation, my father was kicked out)

Ohhh.
Why you moving to Lebanon? Do you just like it better than here?
Its a few things. Don't get me wrong, I do like America, but several things annoy. One, its the arrogance of the south. Before you tell me that not all of America is like that, don't, because I know. That was a minor reason though. I"m worried about a draft tons, and I really want to get far as possible from America if crap does hit the fan.
Other reasons is that Lebanon is the party central of the Middle East, drinking limit 18 as is **** shrooms and weed  (shrooms and weed are illegal though)...and i'm going with two of my best friends. Add to that LAU has the best graphic Design school in the Middle East (its saying alot, trust me) and its a beautiful country in general that allows me to connect with its people, makes me very excited.
I like America though, and am pretty grateful for what its done for me. However, its not the place for me. Never was, never will be. That one reason I listed is minor too, there were other reasons why I wanted to leave.
Interesting side note, i'm returning to America after my 3 years----except i'm going to Canda :D (Game design is my major, and all the major corps are in Canada)

OH nah, its not difficult for me, its difficult for my mom and dad. :p
In the Middle East, family values are top priority. Thats how all the children are raised here. Thats why theres a complete scarcity of Nursing homes---elders are treated with the respect they've earned over the years and deserve, unlike the West. But, labeling me a racist is a downright silly accusation when amongst my favorite artists are Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, Norman Brown and Ray Charles. If anyone else had made that thread, it would have been closed, probably by you, for wasting everyone's time. If it had stayed on-topic, (which it didn't) all it would have established/accomplished would have been that the majority of mainstreap rap/hip hop music has repetitive lyrical subject matter, which practically no one disputes. As it was, it provided a way for you, in the end, to express opinions and say things that would have gotten most regular users (at the very least) a warning of some kind, if not a short ban. As an aside, I do disagree with most of what you said as well, but I'm trying to keep that out of reasons it was a bad thread or that I closed the thread.
But, take a look and you'll see everyone picks and chooses their points to respond to. It just gets pointed out when the person that does it is in the minority opinion.

Its not about black people...or Arabs...or race.

I think racist was just word of mouth, but if you wanted to really look at it, you somehow treat other people with disgust. It always came off that way when I read your arguments...and that irks people I suppose.

As it was, it provided a way for you, in the end, to express opinions and say things that would have gotten most regular users (at the very least) a warning of some kind, if not a short ban.
Honestly, I did nothing that would warrant a banning for a normal user. It wasn't about rap in general (which I have on numerous instances said is not an inherently inferior genre but has rather been corrupted in the mainstream), but rather the state of mainstream rap. I honestly would not have closed that thread had it come from someone else, and I'd encourage people to do something similar for other genres.
I don't suppose that we can keep the bickering/argument/discussion out of this thread?
It's irony...Ok, maybe not :o

Not at all. Actually I have major problems with the state of white American culture in contemporary times. I admire strong cultures that I'm not part of-Asian, Jewish etc. So, I don't see how I 'fear' other cultures. I criticize other cultures as I criticize my own.
You need to stop trolling the forums to where these people reside when you are not done arguing with them.
Now wouldn't it have been easier to say this in the beginning instead of getting yourself banned?

Level with me here, SP: do you really think I care about internet popularity? ;) I come on here to speak my mind, not to be popular. I'm not a politician, I don't care if people like my opinions or not.
That being said, I think it's silly to dislike a person for non violent views. I don't like Ramseys views on Israel, but I don't dislike him...Well, most of the time.
Seriously, people: if you cry every time you hear an opinion you don't like, life will be hard on you.
As Ramsey pointed out, the opinion we can cope with. It's that attitude we have a problem with. You're selectively deaf, close-minded, hypocritical, borderline racist, completely unsympathetic, and have almost no perspective.
You continually spew statistics, but when I called you on your ignorant disregard of the usage of qualitative and quantitative research methods, you completely ignored it or said, "Well I like numbers."
Whenever someone gave their experience, you waved it off as anecdotal evidence, but kept using hypothetical anecdotes yourself to refutre other people's arguments.
In short, you're taking your opinion and making an *** of yourself and everyone else who shares it. You have yet to show any reasonable approach to discourse, and continue spouting the same arguments over and over again no matter how thoroughly they've been refuted until finally most people decide it's not worth the headaches of running in one giant verbal circle.
Personally, I think you're getting a little too comfortable in your position as a mod. You need a serious reality check and an attitude adjustment because you've become absolutely insufferable lately.

Saying that you would arrest every housing project resident that had a good car because they were almost unquestionably guilty of welfare fraud and thievery, in addition to your statement that black people from the inner city are not worthy of your compassion simply because they remain poor were not the most tactful statements ever. I consider the first one pretty racist and stereotypical, which is exactly what we are supposed to prevent.

I am not saying I am above the law. But banning a user for an verbal attack on a mod when they are trolling them selves seems quite hypocritical if you ask me.
Especially when it is not their designated forum to be modding in the first place.

Did anyone else notice that Zero double posted?
Anyway, here is my idea for my final project movie.
A man is a narcissist and extremely paranoid yet acts and considers himself to be an integral part of high society. Everything he does is amazing and perfect. He wears suits and plays piano and drinks from the finest crystal but he is lonely. He isolates himself from society and ends up alone and suicidal. He walks into a lake to drown himself but then we see a full rewind of the film and he is pictured in a robe and long underwear rather than a suit and in a padded room wearing his robe or naked. He plays his keyboard poorly and drinks from a plastic cup. He is also seen being controlled by orderlies.
The idea is a portrait of this delusional character who suffers from a variety of disorders unwittingly. Needs work still but I have some amazing ideas for visuals.

Cain: Yea, I really enjoyed it. I agree with you about not waiting until it comes out on video. People should go see it in theaters.
Glad to hear it. My praise for it was rather high, so I'd be disappointed in myself if I uneccesarily increased an expectation. But you enjoyed it anyway, so no worries. :)

WHAT A COWARD!
Trilemma deleted the thread in which everyone was arguing with him, so we can't cite anything he said or a way he behaved in that thread to bring any sort of complaint to bear against him. What a sniveling little ****!
I knew something was amiss when his postcount went down. Then I saw that mine went down. Jesus Christ, he deserves to be taken down for this.
Okay this has officially crossed the line into "****ing ridiculous."
At first, I just wanted him to be moved out of the politics forum, but if this keeps up, demodding him is beginning to sound more and more reasonable.
On a positive note, Ozric Tentacles are up along with the first two uploads, and more are on the way.

I love riddles and brain busters.
Here's an extremely easy one:
Of only a single color, but not a single size
Stuck to the ground, yet easily flies
Present in the sun, but never in rain
Doing no harm, and feeling no pain.
What is it?

This was one of the best ones made yet. Rivals 28 Days Later and the original Dawn of the Dead for awesome apocalypse movies. The first hour shell-shocked me, literally. I walked out of the theater shaking. A very harrowing, difficult movie, surprisingly.
Anyone seen the original, or heard Orson Welles' radio broadcast?
The ending didn't really satisfy me. My girlfriend said the book was a lot better, but we both liked the movie.
The freakiest part is when they are in the car. Lucas will know what I mean.

Um, yeah. Really freaky and incredibly upsetting.
The original movie had a better ending. It was more moving, and more surprising. Plus it took place in a church. They were all praying for a miracle and then the machines stopped. It worked for that one, it wouldn't have really for this one.
Definitions of fugue:
noun: a musical form consisting of a theme repeated a fifth above or a fourth below its first statement
noun: a dreamlike state of altered consciousness that may last for hours or days
noun: dissociative disorder in which a person forgets who who they are and leaves home to creates a new life; during the fugue there is no memory of the former life; after recovering there is no memory for events during the dissociative state
The dictionary got confused with that word.

The van part was pretty intense.
I have no problem with the ending because that's how it was in the book, I'm pretty sure (didn't read it :upset: ).

I love the book. Although it's totally strange in spots, written as it was at the turn of the twentieth century: like, the tripods fight an ironclad warship and stuff. But this movie was more true to the book on the whole: there were no nuclear weapon allegories like there were in the original movie.

Honestly, I thought that at this point, there was no one alive who didn't know the ending even if they didn't read the book. It's been ripped off and parodied enough times, god knows...
I seriously thought it had gotten to the point you couldn't give away the ending to War of the Worlds any more than you could give away the ending to The Wizard of Oz.

I bought A Blaze in the Northern sky yesterday, then I went to a Punk Bar that I frequent, the guy was like :Which one is that? I'll put it on !
So there we were listening to Darkthrone in a punk Bar. Awesome. Me and my girlfriend kinda made up, although I'm still mad about what she did but we had an awesome day, we went to eat a waffle ( ), I bought my CD, sat around in the Punk Bar, went to an Italian Restaurant, walked on the docks, past the river and watched the lights of our enormous city at night. :)
Then we went to another pub, where they used to play metal, now mostly metalcore and nu-metal, it's still fun. She phoned her mom asking if I could sleep over, and to my surprise, I could.
Then we went to bed, fooled around, had sex twice. Then I got the idea of smoking a joint, we made a really heavy one, almost no tabacco, she was extremely stoned and I'm telling you, she was awesome, she did everything I told her to do. Never opening her eyes. And she was just awesome. :naughty: Had sex a couple of more times, I'll spare you the details.
Then we went to sleep and when we woke up, we jammed (on musical instruments this time)
Wow, I had a great time.

I heard WotW wasn't that good. *gets ready for yelling*
Justification: my brother said it was extremely lame that some "bacteria" caused them to be immune to something (I dunno, I haven't seen it). He said it was very well special-effected (is that a phrase?) though, and it had a good storyline. I guess he just found it kind of cheesy.. I've been wanting to see it.
NP: Alanis Morissette - Thank You
Id say the first 9/10 of war of the worlds was great, but the ending happend a bit too quickly in my opinion. Like the whole movie builds up to this huge suspsenseful ending, and then it all ties itself up nicely at the end in a 2 minute timeframe. That was rather disappointing, still the rest of the movie is far beyond good enough to warrant seeing it.
The original WotW was way better... for three reasons.
1. Tom Cruise wasn't in it.
2. The fact that the original movie was made in the '70s (I think) meant that they relied on dialogue, plot and acting (rather than special effects) to make the movie suspenseful and interesting. I think that movie was one of the scariest I have ever seen (I was about 7 when I saw it). I was terrified of vacuum cleaners for months after seeing it.
3. It didn't have Katie Holmes' dumbarse fiancee in it.
-----------------------
Haha, I just saw this documentary about these two guys who have raised a pair of tiger cubs from birth, and their life in the African savannah. Anyways, one day Ron (one of the tigers) spots a herd of cows across the river that the marks the border between their plot and their neighbours.
The tiger goes for this cow, and she kicks him square in the head. The tiger was fun, but it was hilarious to see it. The guy later showed footage of a lioness being gored by a buffalo, and zebra kicking a lion in the jaw and breaking it, and other such incidents. Pretty cool stuff.

Thats very silly because people complain when movies don't stay faithful to the book which this ending was and then wen some does they say its cheesy. (I must amit they have "lasers" and Unstoppable tripods yet they are too stupid to scan the planet to see if its safe to live.

I've seen the original. Way different than the remake. The main character chick has a handicap brother. And they weren't going on a trip to see Lynyrd Skynyrd and there was no crazed chick with a pistol up her vagina. More differences, there was no baby.. but revolves around cannibals.

Guys, anyone is welcome to post here, "borderline racist" or not. If you have a disagreement, ignore the instigator. I really would appreciate it if this thread didn't go through another round of taking sides and bitching. I know that what I say in this thread has gone out the window as of late and that people will jump on me for things that I write, but honestly, this thread could do without the animosity that's starting to build, and there's really no reason for it other than zero coming in and posting here. I know that this might file under "off-topic discussion," but again, I would truly, truly appreciate it if people would just calm down and realize that this is the Internet.
