haha no, its just a way for me to take a few minutes out of working on this confounded paper. Once i finish the paper ill be back into playing video games full swing.

The way i see it, if i log into a video game, thats a few hours worth of comittment right there, but i can just casually check MX for a couple minutes every once in a while, just to take small breaks from writing.

Once i finish this paper i will have written about 100 pages worth of final papers this semester, so no doubt if i just sat down and did that all straight, i would hang myself.

NPC banned him for porn, but there was confusion about whether it actually was. He was unbanned a while before being modded anyway, I think. Plus, DBJ wanted him as a Pit mod.

Oh, I was under the impression it was Strum, meh.

Then Flogging Molly, Rammstein and Queens of the Stone Age. I would have put sum 41 here, but they cancelled. :(

Pennywise, Kraftwerk and some others I can't remember should be pretty good as well.

And what I'm saying, is the privilege to ban is a good thing, so many people are so very irritating, and to get rid of that annoying nat is a privilege in my opinion (I mod on a different forum, one that's small, and I can't ban, but it's still cool to be able to get rid of problems with the click of a button, rather than having to go through a middle man_.

It was a field trip for my soccer team to an amusement park, and after we hung out there, my friend Jesse and I met these two guys that challeneged us to Halo. In my dream, we were actually inside the game when we played, which was insane. It was some custom map, so the guys that challenged us were just slaughtering.

Then we went back to the hotel, and I was laying in bed, and Nicole Ritchie and Paris Hilton were in a bed next to me. They asked me if I wanted to come lay and watch a movie with them, so I crawled in bed right between them

Next thing I know...I'm nailing them both.

I'm sure it depends.

Maveryck has been a Pit mod (more specifically, Politics and World Issues) for over a year, yet he doesn't have banning powers yet. He's a good guy, he seems to want to close every Pit thread I make (:(), but he still doesn't have such powers.

There's probably a timeframe that Jim sets before giving banning powers, if there's any need for those powers to be given.

They have their close-mindedness to lose. (Downloading now). If it was in R&M, I'd add it to the MNM.
----------------------------------------------

Other information, for MetalFan, I work in a supermarket.

Bump so more people can reply to my dazzling charms.

I just saw an advert for the broadcast of Live8, when they were showing the acts that were performing. Everyone got mentioned, that is, except Pink Floyd. Even KingMoron Bono and U2 got mentioned, but not a single sign that Pink Floyd were reuniting! What. The. Hell...

Also, my favourite skit show just had two of the best skits I've seen in a long time. One was a send up of the amazing race, and they really took the piss out of the Yanks. It was hilarious. They also did a skit set in the wild west, with a cowboy trying to track down a Mexican bandit, called Hernandes Rico Fajiita Burrito Romero Sancho Taco Luis Tortilla Savona.

The last thing I have to say, I served the coolest customer today. 6'4" at least, long hair, beard, black bandanna, leather jacket and gloves, and some badarse sunnies. I swear the guy was Heavy Metal incarnate. I asked him if he liked Motorhead, and he said, "Awesome band, but I like Judas Priest better, bloke". \m/

The pinkish blood was a little bit of a turnoff, though. Blood tends to look more purple when it thickens all in one place.

Blood clots are dark brown or black. I remember I had to pull five or six out of this cow's heart. Real tough stuff, also.

It was a field trip for my soccer team to an amusement park, and after we hung out there, my friend Jesse and I met these two guys that challeneged us to Halo. In my dream, we were actually inside the game when we played, which was insane. It was some custom map, so the guys that challenged us were just slaughtering.

I had a dream like that too. Kind of. Fought in Halo, but there was no challenge (no game, in fact), no soccer team, no Jesse, no amusement park and no Paris Hilton or whoever. Wasn't actually about (/focused on) the fighting, though.

Anyway. RCA - I banned you. You can check the Site forum for a bit of an explanation. It's nothing personal against you, though.

You feel the blood its rising up, rushing through your veins...
You long for the taste of the red gold that you crave.
The victims body grows tight, your lust for blood seems to flow right into the air,
You cant hide it now!

This vampiric bloodlust, flows through me, the scent and taste of the liquid, overpowering!
My teeth they pierce the victims flesh, they scream out in pain, but this madness overcominng all,
driving me insane!

Hellsing! Hellsing! Hellsing! Hellsing!

I've never been, but a friend went there for her spring break senior year. She came back with a ton of pictures and video and journals filled with writing about her experience there. It was apparently a great place, but don't go out at night alone because of gangs.

For TV productions, she used her video from Costa Rica to make a music video (final project). Needless to say, it was a great video visually, but her song selection sucked.

Wow. I picked up Opeth's Blackwater Park yesterday, and I'm currently listening to it for the fourth time. The growling has grown on me a lot faster than I thought it would. I'm listening to TheLeper Affinity right now, and I gotta say that the mix of Mikael's clean vocals and his growling is quite supreme as I expected. So far, my favorite moments of the album are the intro to Dirge for November(the acoustic part) and when Mikael does that echoed grunt at the beginning of Blackwater Park. Both are extremely cool. As far as my least favorite part, I'd have to say that I'm really not impressed with the riffs implemented by Mikael and Peter. They're good parts and all, but the riffs are nothing too memorable. I'm digging the solos too. They're aren't too over-the-top shred solos, but they suit the songs well.

Any other opinions?

I am starting to get that way as well.

I am started to see awhile ago that their music is pretty boring and that they could cut off a big chunk of their songs to make it drag on less and less.

the DoubleDisc was the only thing they had yesterday at Borders, so I had to splurge a bit(19.99!!!). Actaully, my mom got it for me. She was in a good mood or something.

And as for The Drapery Falls being your favorite song on the album, I'm digging it as well, but I don't like how it transitions from Harvest into TDF. I really dislike the acoustic tone on TDF, whereas Harvest is fairly pristine. The strings on The Drapery Falls sound too similair to the strings on my acoustic. Kind of too thick, cheap and nylon. I'm open minded genre wise but I find it hard to find good music. The top 0.5% of blues, jazz, hip hop, hardcore or whatever are usually really good but the rest is a steaming pile of crap. Too many musos in the game to earn respect or admiration and the fame and fortune and if that's the motivation the music always lacks the fire which is the main ingredient of good tunes.

i would have had the same problem if i was in a country that is not germany. It just happened to be a bit rowdier than usual because of the soccer games last night, and the final, brazil/argentina was here in frankfurt. Quite nuts. I may just have to fly back out here for the world cup next year.

EDIT:: why are there no straight metal bassists in the poll!?
Didn't Araya get through?

in this poll there are none, the tool bassist is debatably metal, I don't know enough to classify them

while tool has some hints of metal here and there, i would not call them a metal band by anymeans
