Story time!!
So I was just sitting at my computer uploading a file to YSI. I checked the progress of it, and I got this "messaging program service" message.. it said "YOU HAVE BEEN HACKED!" I was like okay whatever, closed it, forgot about it. About 5 mins later I got the same type of message it said, "I am watching you" at this point, I was freaked out. I stepped away from my computer and stood at my doorway for like 5 mins. Another message popped up it said, "[name of my neighboorhood] is pretty nice. Which house is yours?" After I saw this, I ran downstairs scared shitless out of my mind. I was near tears. I was like DAD SOMEONE IS SENDING ME SCARY MESSAGES ON MY COMPUTER! He checked my firewall and stuff and everything was fine. I was like, "what do we do!??!" and he said, "well he's just into your computer.. he can see what you're doing. Um, just shut it off for a bit." so I did.. then I ran into my brother's room to tell him what happened and he's like, "oh crap! You got that?! I'm sorry! I was just ****ing with people!"
Hahhaa. It was really scary at the time. I seriously thought it was CG. That was my first suspicion of who it was. I'm not even kidding.
 what would you have done if it was him?

Hello. I just read back a few pages, thanks for all the advice on starting a band. I play guitar and piano and a little bass. All the songs I usually play with powerchord, I play the bass, and like I've said before...they are from shitty bands like Nirvana. Powerchord and I play Metallica's Fade to Black together, that's about it. Though I really do think we should try learning some Bodom songs, now that I've successfully converted him into being a hardcore Children of Bodom fan and a deathhead. :D :thumb:
Ha. I came on and now I have to go. See ya later.

A couple years ago, my brother sent some of his friends a link to uglypeople.com, and when they clicked it gave them a virus where he could see their screen and open stuff up on it.

Ohhh...yeah, there's another band I'm not very fond of.
"People do crazy things in commericals, like eat at Arbys."
Where the hell is the fast food place Sonic located? There's commercials for them here, and the food looks really, really good... but there isn't a single Sonic in my state. Is this a West coast thing, or a South thing, or is my state just lame? I don't think there is any in the Midwest, to be truthful... but I could be wrong.
Also: unless rednecks have invaded the urban areas lately, we have a lot of Arby's here in the city. I'm not an Arby's kind of person, though... I'm not big on roast beef.

There are Sonics on the East Coast...I'm not a very big fan of it, the food is "Meh". I want to go to an In-N-Out Burger myself, or a Jack-In-The-Box (even though a few kids died from the e.coli there a while back). I heard those places were good.

Heh, yeah, Fuddrucker's. It's basically a restaurant, but you go up to the counter and order the food, similar to Buffalo Wild Wings if you have them by you. Speaking of B Dubbs, that's a good place as well.
Fuddrucker's is famous for their slop burger, I think. There's one by me, but not close enough for me to bother driving over there.
This Sonic chain is very tricky. They show commercials, but then there are no restaurants in the advertising area. Bastards.

There's a few of those near me. Not really redneck. It was more
1950's - 60's Americana themed if anything.
They make a pretty good burger. You can make you're own; you know, put your own lettuce, tomato, onion, mustards, **** like that. They have some weird burgers. They have an ostrich burger and a buffalo burger. They also have a 1 lb. burger, which is effing huge.

I saw a resturant the other day named GG's Resturant, that made me chuckle.
Also speaking of huge burgers, a local place here makes huge ones...
the buns are about 8-10 inches in diamater and take up the whole freakin' plate and you can get them in various sizes and types.
IE - 1/4th, 1/2, 3/4, 1 and 1 1/2 lb burgers
they even have a burger with chocolate and marshmellows on it.

It was there. As I said, one of the prominent themes was the disparity between working class people and the wealthy elite. Remember in the first act when Kauffman blew off Cholo, telling him that bullshit excuse about the committee? That was a fairly accurate allegory to the mentality of today's multi-millionaires/billionaires who see their social class as an exclusive club. The rich want to get richer and they don't want to share their table with anyone else.

13th Floor Elevators are a lesser known psychedelic band. I hadn't ever heard them before today, but I felt like taking a chance on them. Turns out it's a good album.
Lately I've really been digging early Incubus (Fungus Amongus and S.C.I.E.N.C.E.). Which is odd for me because those two albums are quite different from what I normally listen to.

I don't care for ACLotM that much, except for about 3-4 tracks. I'm not saying it isn't good, it's just not what I listen to Incubus for.
From what I understand about Fungus Amongus is that it's a collection of their recordings from 1993-95 or so, so it isn't really an "album" in some ways. Still cool though.
The other cool thing about it is that it has a great cover. Of course me saying that while being the stereotypical hippie/stoner/classic rock fan teenager.

It sounds like the same thing to me as the older stuff.
Well, more or less the same. I think it was more lyrically aware of today's situation in the U.S. society than anything they've ever done. There's the occassional joke songs here and there, but a majority of it sounds like the system I know.
Not as wild and crazy, but just as heavy and hard rockin'.
Their older stuff is grand though. Toxicity was great, and Steal This Album wasn't bad at all.
Their self-titled had good songs on it too. I think everything they've done has been well worth listening to.

Of course they're the same. I don't even know much about rap, but that guy is unmistakable. His voice and delivery are so unique that he's just another reason why mainstream rap pales in comparison to the other stuff.
PS: if you don't like Mesmerize because of the singles, then don't worry. "Question!" is possibly the best song SOAD has ever done and it's not a single as far as I know. Check THAT song out before making a judgement on the new album.

I didnt mind season 8 of red dwarf. It wasnt the best, but much better than 7, plus it had the return of Rimmer and Holly who are the best two characters on the show. And episode 805-krytie TV is just hilarious in my opinioni.
*Fuddruckers.
I worked at a Fuddruckers for a better part of 3 years, with the first 6 months being a busboy/dishwasher, then moving to cook/baker/butcher. Although that particular fuddruckers was sold off, there are still a few in NJ, but none can compare to the one that was there in my hometown. I dont know if we were just better cooks, or got higher grade meat, but the food was definitely a lot better at ours. People would drive from 2 hours away just to come there, even if there were two or more fuddruckers nearer to them.
Now if you guys want to hear hilarious fuddrucker stories, i could go on for hours and hours, just let me know
Oh and also the 1 pound burger, while a lot, has been outdone by many of the fuddruckers staff. On slow nights we would see how much we could eat, and one kid managed to down 2 and a half pounds of burger meat.
I also saw one extremely large woman come in, order 3 one pound burgers, 3 orders of fries, a basket of onion rings, a baked potato, and buffalo wings just for herself. I also happened to notice she was drinking Diet Coke, like that was going to help her case. To follow it up, she did need 2 chairs under her to sit down.
I've always had a thing for Asians... And Latinas... And Swedes, Goths, Catholic schoolgirls, Italians, Spaniards, Indians, Eastern Europeans, (keeps babbling on)...
yeah im the same way, i like to follow the andrew dice clay philosophy on women: "All it takes is two tits a hole and a heartbeat"

A woman has a close male friend. This means that he is probably interested in her, which is why he hangs around so much. She sees him strictly as a friend. This always starts out with, you're a great guy, but I don't like you in that way. This is roughly the equivalent for the guy of going to a job interview and the company saying, You have a great resume, you have all the qualifications we are looking for, but we're not going to hire you. We will, however, use your resume as the basis for comparison for all other applicants. But, we're going to hire somebody who is far less qualified and is probably an alcoholic. And if he doesn't work out, we'll hire somebody else, but still not you. In fact, we will never hire you. But we will call you from time to time to complain about the person that we hired.

Hahaha yeah, and another great thing about that episode that i didnt get til i came to europe was when the inspector is like "Who fancies a Kebab?" beacuse in the US we dont have döner kebabs at all, so i thought he had meant a shish-kebab which is very very different, and quite frankly when i get the drunchies i would not want to go through the effort of making one of those.
Now that ive been living in europe i realize how vital the döner kebab stand is to drunken college students. They are probably the one thing im going to miss the most when i return home.

Cool. I thought Season 8 was rather a return to form too. Especially as it contains one of the greatest single scenes in all of Red Dwarf - the cell inspection after Rimmer and Lister have had to down Baxter's hooch.
I'm still yet to get Season 6 on DVD.

compared to what i am used to during the summer it is not that hot here in germany at all, its usually about 5-10°C warmer daily in new jersey, and the humidity is much much worse there as well. However in NJ i have air conditioning, which i would kill for right now as my dorm room is on the top floor of the building and the window faces the sun all day long.

Last week. I personally thought it was awesome. It was a great origin story, and did a great job explaining many different parts of Batman's ethos, such as the Batcave, how he got his equipment without anyone noticing, etc.
Batmain Begins was a good flick.
I don't know if I'm going to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
