I remember the saga of the myspace girl all too well!

Me and my girlfriend have gone through a few rough patches (The Friend, "I'm pregnant") but we've patched them up. We handle ourselves very well. I know this isn't a passing fancy. There is a deeper connection between us, I think...I know that if times got bad we would pick ourselves out of the muck. I can't quite explain it, it's intangible.

That song would so so much better if your tone was thicker and if you played some of the notes in the begining melodies cleanly. I like that acoustic bit in the middle of the song, but it just kinda jumped out of no where, which I thougth made it cooler in the whole idea of the song.

What amp are you running and guitar?

I'musing mysmaller amp so that I can record at full volume without shaking the house down and a Jackson DKMGT with upgraded Seymour Dunan pickups. I just got the adapter for my amp modeler yesterday though so I'll be using that in the future. If you've heardmy previous recordings, the tone here is miles above.

Oh, I have heard them heh.

If you would use the larger amp for recording, your recordings will sound oh so much better though.

And also doesn't the DKMGT come with HZ EMG's? And any clue to as what model Seymour Duncan's that are in it now?

Never heard of those models before...but Seymour Duncan's make some great pup's.

Did you put them in, or did it already come like that? Because if the EMG HZ's were still in it you should have just stuck with those. Even though they are passive they give off killer sound on Jackson's with a tone that has some edge and thick sound to it.

In the late-60's, people rebelled against LBJ, Nixon, and Vietnam and we got an explosion of culture and counterculture...but we have yet to see that with Iraq and Bush. Has America really gotten that lazy? Did Clinton lull us into complacence (and did I spell that right? Is that even a word?)?

No, Bush is most certainly seen as bad. Most of this country hates him (don't be fooled by the election; Most of the people who hate him weren't old enough to vote, which could be a sign of hope).

I think another main reason that nothing has happened is because the revolution in the late-60's also stemmed from breaking away from the 50's and the early 60's, which was an ultra-conservative and uptight time period (culturally) in American history. With the advent of the internet and MTV and such, I think that it's not so much the case anymore (but I could be mistaken there).

It just pisses me off when Europeans prove that they're more open-minded than the Americans they are supposedly superior to by saying bullshit like "I hate Americans", "If I see an American, I'll kick their ***", "Americans better lay low if they come to [home country]"

I'm getting excited about going to prom. Granted I was kind of opposed to the idea until late last night yesterday, but now that I have the tickets, and a date I'm kinda digging the idea. Especially because only one person from my school knows I'm going. I better get to use my mom's car is all else I can say.

Should I rent a tux or just wear a nice 3 piece suit? I really wanted to get a Kilt but it turns out they are extremely expensive to rent and I'm not on good terms with the only people I know who own kilts (they make and sell kitls and bagpipes for a living)

No. I love that car. VW Hatchback Jetta TDI with leather seats and a beautiful soundsystem. It not only is better than my car in everyway, but is much prettier and more fun to drive. I take any excuse I can to drive it. My car is fine, but a Subaru is lame. Plus she and I are very not limo types (she's an artsy vegan so waste like a limo is not her style. Sounds just like what happened in the US election.

George Bush was one of the least popular presidents in recent memory (probably since Jimmy Carter in the late-70's, I'd imagine), yet won because the Democrats nominated John Kerry, the one man who makes Al Gore look lively and personable. The most distressing thing about Bush in office is the alarming rise of Fundamentalist Christians who wind up gaining power. I can't even begin to go into how stupid and bigoted these white-trash retards are.

As it is right now, the Democrats don't have their **** together, and the Republicans are as depressing as ever. And the thought of a third party with any influence is laughable at best.

Right now as the Bush administration gets more and more conservative, I think some Republicans may be shifting views and becoming more liberal, in a way. For example, the Nuclear Option may help Bush now, but the party could lose support and also it could backfire on them in the future.

It's as I said, they don't have their **** together.

They need to nominate someone from the south.

1964 nominee: Lyndon Johnson (Texas) = win
1968 nominee: Hubert Humphrey (Minnesota) = loss
1972 nominee: George McGovern (South Dakota) = loss
1976 nominee: Jimmy Carter (Georgia) = win
1980 nominee: Carter = loss (only exception, and extenuating circumstances; the country was in TERRIBLE shape in 1980)
1984 nominee: Walter Mondale (Minnesota) = loss
1988 nominee: Michael Dukakis (Massachusetts) = loss
1992 nominee: Bill Clinton (Arkansas) = win
1996 nominee: Clinton = win
2000 nominee: Al Gore (Tennessee) = won popular vote
2004 nominee: John Kerry (Massachusetts) = loss

I can honestly say, I prefer the book of A Clockwork Orange to the movie. Kubrick made a bad film. The camera work is uninspired and boring, the sets are completely made up and have little reflection on what is in the book and important scenes were omitted, including the resolution which is the best part of the book. I guess that's how movies are meant to be.

User title = early in the movie (and in the book), Thompson freaks out on acid and weed and hallucinates that he is being attacked by hoards of bats. So a little later, he and his attorney Dr. Gonzo (played ably by Benicio Del Toro in the film) pass a hitchhiker (played by Tobey Maguire). Dr. Gonzo says, "Hey, let's pick him up!" and than Thompson/Duke replies with, "What? No! We can't stop here...this is bat country!"

Salvia is a legal drug in USA. It can be bought at smoker's shops, and is basically an intense 15 minute trip.

it hardly works.

According to what I hear, (for that 15 minutes) it is very intense. Scenario changes, out of body experiences, etc. A few users in the CR thread have done Salvia.

I've smoked Salvia out of a bong before.... it is VERY intense for like 20 minutes, I felt like spiders were crawling all over me

Not a very social drug, but yes, it is legal in the US

On an aside, I have experimented with a ton of different drugs, if anyone needs info on anything (what it feels like, how much to pay, how much to do), I would be glad to assist..... IM me or something

Meh, I was disappointed in the Conan performance... but I guess when you've been touring non-stop promoting a new album until Ozzfest, your chops might be a bit sore.

I heard Ramsey stopped posting on MX as much because he joined this band:

http://tinypic.com/5aj97n

This would have been funny if you got a more recent photo, considering they dropped the facepaint years ago.

I don't get it.

It's Mudvayne.

It's a metal band. Of course you wouldn't get it to begin with :)

I was trying to find a picture of Jom to put on there, but I couldn't find one :upset:

There's a reason why I don't post pictures often anymore. Take a guess as to why.

Just MS Paint some dopey aviator shades on one of the guys there; we would have gotten the idea

Heh. I sort of chuckled, I guess.

http://tinypic.com/5ajade

Wow, you give my MSPaint pictures a run for their money when it comes to overall shittiness.

///

I watched Mudvayne on Conan. The singer now looks like he should be in Good Charlotte, and the song "Happy?" is a bunch of nu-metal schlock, but God-DAYUMN can Ryan Martinie play bass!

Well, they stick with what works, I guess. They were polite to Conan when he came to shake their hand, which was cool to me. Chad said, "Thank you, sir." That was nice. The performance was horrid, though, considering the album version is so much better. But like I said, after endless touring to promote a new album, and then mainstaging Ozzfest, Chad's vocals and everyone's chops are probably worn down. And yes, Martinie is an awesome bassist :jealous:

I bet you guys will do heroin at least once.

I'll guarantee you, right here and right now, that I will not. No questions asked. Same goes for any other illegal drug.

/post

Well, this was a surprise, to say the least. Was The Pit that boring? :p

PS: I'm writing the letters next week

/doubts she's going to see this

Look, Iai and Ramsey are brothers [sic]

Hahahahha.

III can't possibly be that bad.

If Lucas made another one like Empire, I'd be happy.

I've heard reviews of ROTS that said it was "a return to old school Star Wars," but I guess I'll have to see it for myself.

I don't think Lucas even directed Empire.

EDIT: Irvin Kershner did.

It's really not. I just saw it yesterday and I can safely say that it is much much better than I and II.

Go see it, it's worth your time.

Why is that? It's such a great series with such a great story.

It's not all that well-written...or well-acted.

And it changed how movies were made (which wasn't for the better, IMO).

welcome to the internet!

Maybe it's because those movies are all about how the white man keeps the brother man down - even in a galaxy far, far away. Check this ****. You got cracker farm-boy Luke Skywalker, Nazi poster boy - blond hair, blue eyes. And then youve got Darth Vader: the blackest brother in the galaxy. Nubian God. Now Vader, hes a spiritual brother, down with the force and all that ****. Then this cracker (Skywalker) gets his hands on a light-saber, and the boy decides hes gonna run the ****ing universe - gets a whole Klan of whites together, and theyre gonna bust up Vaders's hood, the Death Star. Now what the **** do you call that! Gentrification. Theyre gonna drive out the black element, to make the galaxy quote, unquote "safe" for white folks. Jedis the most insulting installment, because Vaders beautiful, black visage is sullied when he pulls off his mask to reveal a feeble, crusty old white man! Theyre trying to tell us that deep inside, we all want to be white!
