No, stop saying that. You're wrong and you know you're wrong :)
A) Times = all Dylan material. Freewheelin' had lots of cover material
B) Dylan has yet to match his lyrical prowess prior to Times and from Times onwards: he has never matched the overall lyrical narrative quality he peaked with on this album
C) His voice is better (marginally) on this album
D) God on our side
E) Title track
F) Only A Pawn In Their Game
G) Boots Of Spanish Leather
H) Ballad Of Hollis Brown
I) The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll
J) Stfu :smash:

I amde dinner tonight. Tillapia, water chesnuts, read and yellow peppers, Spanish onions, lime juice + zest, dried cayenne pepper, pineapple and passionfruit nectar and coconut milk on rice garnished with baby spinach leaves and sliced star fruit. It was good.
I have had a bit much to drink. I am very horny and need that lovely lady right now. I am in an oral sex mood to be followed up by thew real thing. I can't beleive I didn't spend the night with her last night like I could've. Why did I bother to go pick up my brother? There was even alcohol last night! and a nice warm bed and I had a box of ribbed condoms in my pockety. Oh well, I'll see her on Wednesday then skip dance class with her on thursday and get it on. Maybe I'll even dig up a Marvin Gaye tape. WQeeeeeeeha. I think I'll go driunk more. The wine is good.

Or her pleasure. I used extra lube at first because she had only had sex twice before me an apparently he had a small *****. Our mutrual best friend pulled me aside and gave me a talk about how I needed to use ones that would be a little smoother after the first time we had sex. now she's been worked past that. ****, I want some of that. Anyone here listen to Coldplay? They have a new single out, and I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything about a new album. They are due for a new album anytime now, although they seem to like taking big breaks in between their albums. Their official site doesn't give much good information.

You've never been so wrong in your life. Coldplay are musical geniuses and are bringing soul and musical integrity back into mainstream music.
I actually used to think they sucked too, I had only heard their singles on the radio/TV, then someone lent me one of their albums. I listen to it just about daily now.

I listened to "A Rush of Blood to the Head".
It sucked.
I hate Coldplay.
I hate their bland, radio-friendly alt-rock tunes, I especially hate their donkey-faced "sensitive man with a piano" frontman.
They're no different than insipid, safe bands like Travis or Snow Patrol.

Coldplay is a band that capitalizes on using the same four chords to create a falsified, highly romanticized atmosphere of "love".
For ****'s sake, their biggest artistic achievement is a music video that is played in reverse.

I was planning on starting a PT cover today, but no one has a GP4 tab for Wedding Nails for making a backing track, so I'm gonna wait. Way too lazy to make my own drums and bass for a song like that. So I decided to relax and play a For Whom The Bell Tolls cover. I have it about half done, should be able to finish this morning. Easy song, but I always enjoy playing those being as you saw how much of a guitar virtuoso I am...
You are too hard on yourself.
John even said after you left that you are a good guitarist.
I downloaded Deadwing today, and I love it. I'm going to go out and buy it, though, since I don't really like downloading full albums.

Yeah, if I can't find it in a store I'll probably Amazon it. I'm the same way. DLing has been one of my greatest friends in music for finding new bands and stuff, but I still like to buy albums I like and support the bands. As far as my axing, yeah, I'm ok...but only good if I lied and said I've been playing for one year. I'm working at it though. That was fun as hell for me having our jam session. I've never played with more than a bassist.
Exactly. Downloading has allowed me to find so many new bands, and to open my mind to new genres.
After jamming with a drummer, you might miss it the next time you are playing guitar.
How would you rate my playing?
ArcLite
05-16-2005, 02:24 AM
Rate your playing? I don't believe I'm in any position to rightfully do so. I will say your are a better improv lead player than me. Lets just settle on "we both have a lot of work to do." As I said though, I wish we were closer so we could jam more often. I'm just a much better rhythem guitarist. I know I didn't pull out anything impressive while we were playing, but when I'm "on" I can get some pretty decent stuff going, especially for more metalic riffs. It made me want to go put ads up in the music shops.
I'm pretty much the same way.
Some days are better then others.
Yea, if you lived around here I'm sure we would jam every week.

The problem is the scene here is worthless, all hiphop and rap. I'm quite sure that I'm the only metalhead in a 100 mile radius. But, I think I'm going to start throwing ads up in the music stores here and see what kind of results I get. we are doing covers at the school's "rock night" (don't laugh)

Hey, sorry, just after I posted that I went off to find out why my flatmate didn't get back here from home last night. He said he'd show me the reason (two of them, in fact). I was expecting a couple of broken limbs or something, but it turned out that his brother had brought his two cats around, and, being drunk, they watched them play-wrestle until about three in the morning.
Anyway, not much new with me. I've spent the last week or so doing various essays (including two last night, and both awful ones at that). After my Samurai exam in a couple of hours though, I've got nothing else until next Wednesday, so I'm looking forward to the break. I'm kind of nervous about these essays though. If I fail them, then I fail the year as a whole and can't come back in September, and I don't really want that. I wouldn't mind (so much, anyway) not being allowed to come back because I'd failed a philosophy module, because then, fair enough, I'm crap at the subject I'm trying to do. It'd really suck to be kicked out of philosophy because of some elective module, though.
Other than that, I'm just planning exactly how (i.e. on which albums) to spend my money over the summer, and that's about it. I also might be going home this weekend to see someone perform live at my local music centre.
How about you?

I gather two things from this set list. Your guitarist (and band for that matter) is very good, and your vocal skills are very diverse...
Here is my setlist, and yes, we play the Trooper too.

Savior, Saint, Salvation - Bleeding Through (it's a little out of place, but our version of it sounds really cool.)

I really want to add longer songs (and burning times)

Well, I was sitting in on a junior math class (pre-calculus, I think) and there was one kid there studying for some test on the Civil War that a few other kids had already taken. He was like, "Do we need to know about MacClellan?" and everyone else was, "Nah" and he skipped that section. He was like, "Do we need to know about Shiloh?" and everyone said "no" and he skipped THAT section, and so on.
Basically, the only thing kids bother to learn is what they think will be on the test, which they then forget after taking the test. The education system needs to be overhauled.

Most would argue its about nothing. I suppose you could say it's about a complete loser who helps a new kid run for class president.
I saw parts of it and laughed, but just because my brother was laughing his *** off.

I hated it. First of all, as DMV said, it has no plot. But I could care less about the plot. The creators of it were going to a stupid funny, I do beleive, but only got the stupid part, if you ask me. Basically, the 'plot' follows the main character around, trying to get laughs at everything the kid did. I thought he was a moron, and wasn't funny, at all. If you like stupid funny movies, go ahead and watch.

Spaceballs owns, I must admit. I actually just watched that last weekend and still laughed. No matter how old I will get, I will still always laugh at stupid and pointless humor.
I havn't seen any of them for a while, at least 6 months, but it makes me laugh just thinking about parts of some of them, like the quarter staff fight in Robin Hood: Men in tights, and the "Megamaid" in Spaceballs. and of course the bean eating scene and the toll booth in Blazing Saddles

Heh, 'tis late, but I appreciate it since you are one of the few to actually say that other then my parents.
Yes, I have been playing Guild Wars, but I managed to beat the story line part of it, so I am going to not play it as extreme from here on heh. Still lots of playing ahead of me, but no "I must play for 12 hours straight to get to where I want to go!" kind of stuff heh.
I played it like that for 5 days straight when I had time off work due to "minor surgery" done to my toe due to an infection/ingrown toenail.
Between that, work, and guitar playing I have not had much time to post on the forums. Also those things took my thoughts away from the forum and I never really thought about posting, but I did read some threads just never posted...

In regards to your Viking chat, it was Erik the Red who founded the colony in Greenland. He was banished from Iceland (for brawling I beleive), and went to Greenland. He named it Greenland to convince people to move to his colony. It was his son, Leif Eriksson, who discovered America before Columbus, he landed in an area which he named Vinland. They encounered indians, were horribly out numbered.. killed.. They haven't yet confirmed the fabled location of Vinland, though they are trying. God I love Vikings.. :thumb:
