RP100. Digitech. Kinda crappy but it works. I use it sometimes as a compressor/sustainer.
I have the same one. My dad bought it for me when I started playing, and I used to think it was amazing
Now I think it's time for something a little better, now that my playing has advanced since then.
I'm looking at some Boss pedals.

^my highschool is becoming a very lot of fun. I don't mind class or the people in general. Of course, my best friends don't go to my school so I kind of float around various social groups.
I took high school seriously enough to do pretty well, but not nearly serious enough for it to ruin my life. I was actually one of the semi-popular kids, I think, so that might have been it. A lot of kids complain about the people in their high school, but my graduating class was great. Also, the teachers were cool too.
ATM: it's still too cold and rainy for grilling here. :(

I was semi-popular. I just hated so many of the people that I didn't want to hang with most of them. I mainly just chilled with my close group of friends, and tried to not let the other people get to me too much.

It's really good.
I always thought ROFL was Roar Out ****ing Loud.
Anyhoo, Cain is an excellent guitarist. Probably not the best in R&M but very good and his song writing is quite impressive. I just realized I do have an amp modeler. My old multi FX pedal has one built in. I'll try using that for next challenge. I wish people hated my song less.
Yeah, I'm definitely not the best. Thisfilter has a huge advantage on me as a rhythm player: he rips out a zillion polyrhythmic things on his songs and I don't even know the first thing about making polyrhythmics in the first place. He's also a great orchestrator and lead player. I like composing songs more than soloing anyway, although the latter sure is fun. :)

SRV's strat was pretty much hollow because it used to belong to the guitar player from Vanilla Fudge, who inexplicably put 3 humbuckers in it. Thus alot of the body was routed out which was what gave it the clear, bell-like tone.

I just read your vote. Your's seems to have the best understanding of my song. The idiot after you seems to think that I screwed up 4/4 and it came out sounding like 5/4. I didn't even realize my drums were so low until about 2 days after I submitted my entry and by then it was too late. I resent people who like Joz's song better than mine though. SRV's tone is always making me flip-flop. I hate it on some days and love it on others. I think the majority of the time it's too wet-sounding for me...some more fuzz in his sound would have made it awesome. Then he could just control the raunchiness of the tone using the volume knob like Beck does.

Basically, just listen to every song, and write a few sentences or one really good sentence about it, and rate it out of 10.

7/10

Man, raw deal. At least you're okay (I assume this because you are posting on the Internet)
Yikes. That sounds like a rough experience.
What made you so dehydrated?
Well it was extremely weird. It was like 945am I got up to go the bathroom. Well, I went and I stood up and headed for the sink and just.. passed out. I remember hearing myself fall on the ground.. and my body fell against the wall then to the ground. I woke up approx. 30 seconds later and I was choking on my mouthguard so I struggled to open my eyes and I quickly got it out my mouth and I was crying at the same time.. then there was blood EVERYWHERE because I hit my nose and it started bleeding. I finally maganed to get up and walk into the hallway where my brother saw me and I fell on the floor, and he hugged me and called my parents while I was in freak mode and crying like no other. I went to the ER and they just said I vagaled.. meaning I was dehydrated and my blood pressure was extremely low. It was really freaky.
****... sounds scary. That kinda happened to a kid in my class. He started to shake and make weird growling sounds, then fell backwards on his chair and just started to shake weirdly. Then, two seconds later, stood up and asked "why am I on the floor"? Turns out it was low blood-sugars.
scariest thing that ever happened to me is when i put my arm through a glass door (accidently, of course)

I've been trying to stream misha's for the past ten minutes. It keeps stopping after thirty seconds. If I can't listen to an entire song, let alone ten (or however many entries there were)... there's no way in hell that I could give an honest feedback... the only thing I could do is look at everyone else's posts and just add or subtract a point somewhere and BS some sentences, and no one deserves that because of the time and effort that went into performing and recording it.

Expect the Heat to crush the Wizards. The Wizards would have lost in the first round in five games if the Bulls had Curry and Deng. The Wizards' biggest weakness is interior defense, and the Bulls' big guys were Othella Harrington, Tyson Chandler (a seven-foot beanpole), The Artist Formerly Known As Antonio Davis, and a white guy named "Reiner" (who they probably picked up at a frat party).
Also, Shaq will go into "Postseason Shaq" mode at any time and crush all comers.
And AH, try being a Red Sox fan. Tim McCarver and Joe Buck were doing everything short of starting a "1918!" chant in the booth.

Yeah, Jack Johnson sucks. He's really bland and boring, but people like to confuse that with "mellow".
I agree, Ray. I love chill music as much as the next guy, but his music just doesn't do it for me. I just made my girlfriend a mix:
Explosions In the Sky - Your Hand In Mine
Radiohead - Where I End and You Begin
Kasabian - Benefical Herbs
Nine Inch Nails - All the Love in the World
The Shins - The Past and Pending
Kings of Convenience - Gold In the Air of Summer
Matisyahu - Chop 'Em Down
Radiohead - Knives Out
Kings of Convenience - Surprise Ice
Iron and Wine - Such Great Heights
Iron and Wine - An Angry Blade
Explosions In the Sky - From West Texas
Iron and Wine - Jezebel
Nick Drake - One Of These Things First
Bark Psychosis - The Loom
Slowdive - When the Sun Hits
Kings of Convenience - Know How
Iron and Wine - Gray Stables

I don't post in most of the band threads in this forum because I don't know much about those bands. I may have heard one or two songs by a band like Vader, but I don't download often and those bands' CDs aren't available in my area, so I'm fairly uninformed when it comes to that music. I post in here because it's general discussion and something I can actually partake in.

I just got another haircut :-\
When you get haircuts (if you do, that is), do the stylists/barbers do some ridiculous hairstyle to finish your haircut that makes you look like the goofiest cornball ever, or are they sane and style your hair as you'd normally do it.
I remember the one time I went to some no-name barbershop by my house and I got a side comeover. It was one of my more awful hair presentations. As soon as I walked out that door, I definitely had to fix that up so I didn't look like I was walking out of the '40s.

Sonata Arctica and Megadeth were each $4, Dredg was the most @ $8. Mix of used and new CDs.
I got one haircut on a trip to Washington to "look presentable" on Christmas for the family. We ended up going to the only barbershop in town, on the windows it says "cheap military cuts." I think that will tell you how much hair I lost. Mind you it snowed that whole next week and I didn't have a hat :(

Today I went running...again. I used to make fun of runners, but there's something very...I'm not sure what the word is, exactly. There's no one else around, there's no real point to it...you're just running. It's just you and your thoughts, plowing straight ahead. It's a great way to take a load off. I also shot some hoops today (gotta keep sharp, even though I don't plan on playing competitively).
Then I showered and went a used CD store and got:
The Roots - Phrenology

I don't like dancing in general, actually. Supposedly I can do it well because I'm black, but I've never tried it.
I don't keep track of how much I run, I just run until I feel like I don't want to anymore--so obviously, the amount I run varies from day to day. When it comes to solo exercising, it's all about shooting hoops for me. It doesn't seem like a lot of exercise, but it definitely adds up, especially when you do it for hours at a time like I do.
I also learned "Don't Follow" by Alice in Chains today on guitar. It's not a hard song, but it's fun to play anyway.

Ray - Ballet. I've been doing it for 8 years now I think. It's good excersize and if you're a male, very cheap. Lots of scholarship opportunities. All black men dance well. It's the law of nature.

Worth a try. They would have to be pretty stoned to think I look like any of them, though.
Haha, dude, you don't get it, I could sign Mikael Akerfeldt on my photo (I look nothing like the man) and people would buy it on eBay, people were buying DEAD BATTERIES for ****'s sake!
As in look alikes, people always tell me I look like Chester Bennington.
I look like Elijah Wood when he was a hobbit.

Oh right, yeah. I just meant that I still need to know which time zone the finishing date/time is in. For example, if someone says 7pm Tuesday, it's of no use to me unless I know which 7pm.

Uh-ohs. People who like nerd rap are writing a rap FG.
I would try to intervene, but I think the whole concept is retarded. It's like asking someone to do a FG on rock.
EDIT: Wait, that was it? Or was it just a temporary thing? Christ, I knew I should have gotten something done sooner.

whats up all.
So to answer my own question a few posts back I went out and just bought the new Limp Bizkit to see what it was like and here is my analysis:
I like it. Its a lot like their first album Three Dolla Bill Yall so that right off the bat is a perk (for me anyways). Fred is still doin his half rap/half not thing, but its a lot darker than before. When some of my friends listened to it they said excatly what I thought when I bought it, "This sounds like Rage Against the Machine". There are also points in the song where they sound a lot like Deftones, but to be blunt...this sounds nothing like the last few, its actually good.
Checkout "The Truth" (my fav song off the album) at their websit if you want.

I liked it musically, but out comes Fred, who kills the whole song.
It reminded me of RATM. It comes to show that the vox play a huge part in what sounds good and what doesn't.

The way he asked was so cuntish too "Hey man, I don't know if you're aware that it's finals week but..." It only really bothers me because he's been blasting his music louder than mine and right no is no exception, now that I'm not guitaring I can hear his music quite clearly over mine...blah...lame.

Well, for one, Nas and Biggie and Wu-Tang Clan are not East Coast rap. They are Gangsta Rap or East Coast Gangsta Rap.
Pioneers like Eric B. and Rakim amd Big Daddy Kane were completely forgotten. The most iconic and widely known rapper of all time (2Pac) was trivialized to one upload. The G-Funk movement, which ruled the first half of the 90's, went completely unnoticed.

Correct for not needed, but it was probably wrote into the script by Adams, to satisfy the american markets.
I only realised the other day that the script has been around for a long time, and has barely been changed by the time the movie was shot.

Yep. It would have been a good movie, if it wasn't under the name of the guide. The fact that they missed out most of the humerous bits from the book really pissed me off.
mos def was rubbish as ford and the guy who was Zaphod played him too stupid
Yep. I now despise Mos Def. I thought the guy doing Zaphod kind of had the role down, but over did it at times. I also disliked the whole arrangment they gave him for the two heads :-/ I thought that pretty much all of the casting was off, except for Zooey Deschanel as Trillian.
the stupid hollywood romance thing with arthur and trillian ruined it really...
four words for hollywood... NOT IN THE BOOK!
Yep. They made far too big a deal out of it, especially since it was barely mentioned in the books.
I'm still at a loss as to where they're going to take it next, and as to what major plot surgery they will perform.

yeah... been in "development hell" for around 20 years, but I was just so disapointed, It could have been classic, but Zaphod was played all wrong (hint- zaphod in the book and radio seems to be a little like keith richards), he is totally different from the book
the whole thing with ford trying to shake hands with a car was stupid, too- still going to see it again with other parent... it may be better the second time

I think the whole thing was kind of Americanised to appeal more to a larger audience. As the books stand, they have a very kind of...British humor.
If they kept it 100% faithful to the book then it wouldn't make so much money.

Maybe you didn't have to cover EVERY artist, but someone who is widely considered the greatest rapper ever should get a little more than one upload crammed near the end. That's like writing a brief history of boxing and only giving Muhammad Ali a brief sentence or two.
I'm not disagreeing with you, it's just that uploading all of those files was taking ages, and I mainly just wanted to give people a starting point.

Also, another thing that slipped my mind until right now (arguably the biggest flaw):
-2 Live Crew is not early/old-school rap; they are considered Dirty South/Party Rap, and instead of building a foundation for rap (as Grandmaster Flash and Run-DMC did), they helped contribute the Dark Age of Rap (1989-1991).
Hell, I would have nixed 2 Live Crew altogether; the purpose of the FG was to clear up misconceptions about rap, no?
Also, I hate to stomp on your toes here, but with all due respect, I think you could have spent some of the time on your favorites on uploading some more Pac. Pac is arguably to rap what Miles is to jazz, what Marley is to reggae, what BB King is to the blues: an icon, a paradigm. I can't stress that enough.
