I dunno. It's not my favorite.. but I think it's one of those "accquired taste" albums. No one was expecting an album like that. No one. I just have to listen to it more and more to get the real feel of it, I guess. I dunno, I just like NIN more traditional sound better than this kinda of.. synthisized 80s pop thingy that they're doin.

I actually like it. A few of the tracks are very cool, but some of the others on the album haven't grown on me yet.

The biggest shock I get when I go home is actually just how loud and obnoxious my family can be. At school, even the hotly debated issues are discussed in a very chilled-out manner, more of a negotiation than an argument most of the time: talking politics with the parents is like a suicide bombing by comparison.

But on the subject of full stomachs, I had bread, mozzarella cheese on tomato for appetizer, cheese ravioli and a margherita pizza with pesto for a main course, and hazelnut gelato for dessert. I was one sleepy man by the end of that meal...I haven't gorged myself on so much great Italian food in a while. :)

EDIT: And only now do I realize how old the posts are that I'm responding to. :-/

The Blood Brothers. The first opener was kinda lacking and the second one wasn't great, but I think the singer had more energy than TBB haha. Really fun show, and the venue didn't have a barrier and so I was literally touching distance from most of the bands the whole time.

So I was just thinking about the Guide Movie; I'm pretty sure there's going to be a sequel. Hopefully there won't be any more drastic plot upheavels, but I can't see how Trillian will fit in with Arthur when they end up on ancient earth. Unless she replaces Ford, and he goes off with Zaphod?
Also I'm not sure how many of the books they plan to cover, but could Trillian and Arthur getting together eliminate Fenchurch from the story? It's all very confusing :(

I don't suppose any of you know what "philosophy of language" entails? I have to choose modules and stuff for next year (assuming I pass this year..), and I'm pretty sure of what I'll choose, except for the choice between Formal Logic and Philosophy of Language. Language is suppose to be pretty torturous, but I've always enjoyed language (English or other) so Philosophy of.. sounds pretty good. Logic on the other hand can be very cool when you practice it enough, but I'm not sure if I can be bothered with it.

Philosophy of language is the branch of philosophy that studies language. I had a bad experience with CD's.

I was in sixth grade at a catholic school. We had a half hour after lunch to go outside and play sports, etc. While I was outside, the principal went through all the kids bookbags this particular day. She found a CD in my bag, Dr. Dre's The Chronic, with a parental advisory on it.

So I come back in from recess, and I am sitting in my next class. The prinicpal storms in the class, and says "This is what we do to garbage." and cut it up with siscors in front of the whole class.

My mom found out that I had 25+ parental advisory CD's and she threw them all away.

If someone stole my avatar, I'd be rather pissed. The only time I'd allow it is if we had a yellow lab avatar-athon, much like Bobo's kittyloaf avatar-athon. I doubt this would happen.

I liked R2R and STYE, but that's because I'm easily amused and pleased with music. Yes, the older stuff is much better, which I alluded to in my STYE review on Sputnik that I wrote many moons ago, but it's still good music to me. But my opinion doesn't seem to matter, so please enjoy my unsolicited opinion on this matter.

My parents didn't really give me any problems when it came to PA albums and T/M video games when I was younger. It's always interesting trying to explain to my dad what I'm listening to from time-to-time. He always seems to stumble in when I'm listening to a heavier form of music, but never when I have classic rock or some softer material in my CD player. But I digress.

This post was pathetic. I apologize.

Hope all is well. Take care.

I really went out on a limb here because I have never played on one of these. Since I have a thing against Ibanez guitars, I went for the Jackson based on overall reviews. The neck was huge selling point, the Ibanez being the first metalo neck I've played. I love the neck on mine, the action is phenomenal. It is very fast. I also like the balance a lot. Mine is also very comfortable to play standing. You should really like it though, when I got my Jackson I stopped using my Ibanez for any standard tuning songs (Mine has a floyd rose so drop tuning is a pain).

The reason why I want Boston to win is because I don't want ESPN to be a douche and show the infamous brawl for two straight weeks all the damn time. Latest emo livejournal entry:

Not much happened today. This morning Ricky told me something that creeped me out. It's kinda hard to believe, but I suppose he wouldn't lie. I'm not gonna put it here because it has to do with the police and ****. In homeroom I chilled out and in band I did science homework. In science we looked at pictures of vaginas on the projector. In Social Studies I actually worked, which is a new thing I'm trying. In English we had to go in front of the class and say 16 or so prepositions for a quiz, and everybody was having a hard time. When it was my turn I went up and said 44 of them, and everyone was like, "What the ****?" In reading class I read, and I ate during lunch. No experiences with Kristin. In Math I waited to go home.

I am that- the policies are well thought out and not extreme on issues such as immigration- but sensible
people seem to hold the party as a sort of bogey figure and are prepared to do anything to prevent a conservative government without giving an adaquate explanation for their opinions, which is frankly, ludicrous

This is quite late but....

I purposely got the DKMGT instead fo the more common DKMG because I didn't want a trem system. I don't want to have tuning problems, no matter how slight and I also hate locking tuners that come with a Floyd Rose. I rarely use the wammy anyway on my strat and I can live without divebombs. I think I'm going to restring it with a heavier gauge, maybe .12 so that I can tune it to C. I'll have to wait and see though.

The NBA doesn't interest me. College basketball is much more fun to watch. Same with football.

Off to school. This may be day three of getting nothing done because all my classmates have APs. Kind of nice and kind of pathetic at the same time.

I don't understand the apathy towards a potential conservative government
what would be so bad about it?

The fact that it would be a new age of darkness?

For a start, Michael Howard looks like a cross between a child molestor and a vampire. And not the good kind of vampire, just a real creature of the night.

His policies are not well thought out at all; his ideas for education, if he ever got into power, frankly have me terrified. His thing about paying, with government funds, half of the costs of people who choose to go private with healthcare has to be the MOST RETARDED IDEA EVER THOUGHT UP BY A SERIOUS POLITICIAN. His reasoning is that it'll ease the strain on the NHS if more people go private - it'll increase the strain on the NHS, because with more people going private, more trained personnel (doctors and nurses and such) will go to work in private hospitals. Not to mention, with the conservatives' history, the money for paying half of thse private healthcare costs will probably come out of the national health service funds in the first place, which will damage ir further, and the whole scheme will make it slowly more obsolete even to have an NHS in the first place. And the NHS is, basically, the best thing we have.

Good morning, you little pricks. I just got to school, and as you may recall, I've been walking five miles to school everyday the past 2 months because somebody stole my bike from school. They were able to steal my precious bike, which I used to race BMX/ride street on, because I was stupid enough to lose my key to my lock and leave my bike unlocked. So I've been walking for 2 months, bla bla bla...I get here today, log on the computer, and what do i see? THE GODDAMNED MOTHER****ING KEY TO MY ****ING LOCK!

Irony has a funny way of biting you in the ***.

Apart from that...only 40 more days until ICB Road-Trip-O-Rama, and we're thinking of driving non-stop. Screw sleep, we've got an abundant supply of sugar and caffeine.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here. What does the republican party have to do with the British conservative party?

It's not the name "conservative" that I'm railing against (voting by party seems to be a problem in America). It's the fact that the majority of their policies are awful. In their present state, I'd rather see Howling Laud Hope as prime minister, than the conservatives in power.

What did the raccoons have to do with the crabs?

They catch crabs from the [canal] behind the house at low tide, and then they like to wash them, to get rid fo the salt taste. The closest decent amount of fresh water is the pool, so they try and clean them there, and they almost inevitably drop the damn things.

And why does everyone hate raccoons?
