I'm a living example of 100% the opposite

I watched the guillotine make love tonight under the black skies
It was not a pretty sight but we didn’t cover our eyes.
We saw the army march up the hill to war.
But the army was slaughtered by will, she’s a whore.
Never knew why, we never got your heart?
It was trapped in a box and couldn’t be taken apart.

She may have loved with her eyes
But he never gave up
He never won the fight but she always cursed
Such a fiery passion, I am not worthy of your brace
I would give you anything for a taste.

Like Lucy and the sky of diamonds, she is the drug
We call to arms but she does not accept our love.
The quarters are flipped but we do not have tails
Our heads will be stationed in her reprisal jail.
For why I love you is, I see in your eyes
The vision of hands being touched, incompetent desire

She may have loved with her eyes
But he never gave up
He never won the fight but she always cursed
Such a fiery passion, I am not worthy of your brace
I would give you anything for a taste.

I was dead, but then I died again
My mind was on life support, and then you lied again.
And if you’re still looking for a shoe, I’m sorry I have no soul
I push a cart, only in God’s world.
I could of entered your heaven and been your sisterly servant
You cut off my arms and stabbed my heart
…and I was hurting.

She may have loved with her eyes
But he never gave up
He never won the fight but she always cursed
Such a fiery passion, I am not worthy of your brace
I would give you anything for a taste.

You know who I am, because you never held my hand
No need for silly handshakes when you fasten my heart in sand
Laugh for the fun of it and listen to a photograph called commitment
Overwhelming is my art, only persistence.
I have never quitted commitment to anything except my existence.

I really loved the first stanza, I thought the metaphors were awesome. As the song went on, it got kind of meh. Not bad, but I'm more indifferent to the later stanzas. However, I don't really like the aabbcc rhyme scheme. It could work in the context of a song, but it doesn't read very well like that.
