why, French Revolution Sado-Masochist, of course. ummm yeah, what's an FRSM?
Fellow of the Royal School of Music. It's the third-tier diploma, and the highest accolade a musician can get, in a grades environment.
A diploma, in case you didn't know, is what you get after grade 8.
The order:
Prep
grade 1
grade 2
grade 3
grade 4
grade 5
grade 6
grade 7
grade 8
DipABRSM
LRSM
FRSM (virtuoso level)

...i'm at g8 only...
then i got no $$ to go on...
and i have to leave home for a boarding sch in the middle of nowhere in norway.
so nowhere to learn+take exams

Ah I see. Here (in Australia) it's the same, only we have AMusA, LMusA, and FMusA I think. Something like that. I'm not a hundred per cent sure after LMus.
I'm doing my AMusA over two years, starting this year. I did grade 8 in 2000. I have a few friends who have done/are doing their AMusA as well. I don't know anyone who's done/doing LMusA (yet), other than my old teacher who did the South African equivalent of FMus (I think).
