I'm thinking 5th or lower. You can't be a RB and not be able to outrun a lineman. Who knows, he could just've had two really, REALLY bad days, and he could turn out to be as good as he looked two years ago.
It really is too bad what happened to him. He was going to either end up a hero or get shut down. Obviously the latter happened and his once very promising career looks very bleak.
I was strongly opposed to what he was doing, but still it is sad to see him slip so far. I guess that's what happens when you take such a large chance. He's probably 5'th round+ material any more.

He was probably a 6th-7th rounder after his terrible 40 yarder at the NFL combine. But after his work out he'll probably be a 5th, maybe 6th round pick.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a team with a few compensatory picks to invest one on him.
At his work out there were people representing 8 teams, Baltimore, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Miami, New England, Pittsburgh and St. Louis.
I can't see Cleveland investing on him, after their investment in Droughns and Baltimore are already very strong running back wise. I can see Cinci maybe investing a late round pick on him, as well as Indy (especially with Edgerrin being on shaky grounds). Miami of course would be keen, I can't see the Pats going for him, Pitt might take him and St. Louis might also go for him (especially for his good catching skills).

i have a very hard time believing he would be drafted before the 4th, i mean teams barely want to put up with a guy that moss who has issues much less a guy no where near as talented and some would say more issues
I personally wouldn't be suprised if he didn't get drafted, but i sure some gm will take a chance on him in the 5th, or 6th round

40 times arent everything. You dont go from being the best running back in college football to being a marginal, 6th round caliber player.
Of course, he will be taken that late, and he does have problems, but I'm sure the guy can still play football. I think he'll be a good player in the NFL.

Sixth, a team will risk a pick on him because of his one season at Ohio State. He never was the fastest back, but he plays extremely hard. He wasn't afraid of anyone.
A team with an already proven running back will draft him.

but you have to realize the guy hasn't played in about 2 years, and if the guy doesn't run a fast 40 time how is he going to get past the likes of ray lewis and julius peppers, and clarett isn't exactly the biggest back in the world, so he can't be a power back, not to mention the guy quit during one of his workouts, nobody wants a quitter on their team just ask the miami dolphins.

i give him 6th, i woulda said 3 or 4, but after the 40 in the combine, i drop him to a 6th

wow that deep
I don't think 4th or 5th round is all that deep for a running back who hasn't played a game in two years and ran a 40 time worthy of a deffensive lineman.

I'm sure he played. He has probably trained with professionals for those 2 years. Granted he didn't play college ball, but the NFL isn't college anyway. Either way he is going to have to adjust to NFL speed. The jury is still out on if he is good enough to do that. I don't think he will be drafted.

6th or 7th round if he gets drafted at all

40 times dont really mean much in an actual football game. Not very often is a player running full speed in a straight line for 40+ yards. Lateral movement, quickness, and vision is much more important for a running back then a fast 40.
And since when is 230 pounds not a big back? I think whichever team drafts him is gonna be very happy with him. Remember, Terrell Davis was a 6th round pick who played fullback in college, and he turned out to be a pretty decent player.
