What is the longest game you have ever played
Angband.

Monopoly.
Seriously though, those old games where you couldn't save and had to beat it all w/o turning off the game. Also GTA is hard to finish completly everything.

Surprisingly. Paper Mario 2 took me forever.
Angband WILL take you forever.
Unless you are uber lucky and skilled.

Baldur's Gate is supposed to be somewhere around 120 hours. I went about two and stopped.
I guess I've invested the most time in to Morrowwind; a few months, I can't remember a time.
I love games that keep track of how much time you spend playing.

I'm at about 130 hrs for FFX with all my Sphere grids complete(except Kimhari's), and i just recently completed my last sidequest(monster arena).
I could also imagine San Andreas taking me a while to reach a 100%

Any GTA.

I've invested a lot of time into Diablo II but that's online.
I think offline it would probably be some Final Fantasy game or some other RPG. I spend way to much time playing them. I always have to do all the side quests and get all my characters ultimate weapons.

The Elder Scrolls 2 Daggerfall is probly the largest single player game ever, your looking at up wards of a 1000 hours if you wanted to complete every quest read every book and talk to every person. As for longest game I've played I'd geuss I have about 200 or so hours into Morrowind and its expansions and its not looking like ill be done soon.

I have yet to complete Doom 1...as soon as I get to the last level, I basically automatically die. I bought that game when it first came out....and I still haven't beat it...so ummm lots of years.

HL was great. Far Cry was pretty long too, as far as first-person shooters go. I heard HL2 was short, though.
MMORPG's don't count, because you aren't supposed to beat them, because if you could, they'd not be able to make money off of you.
I don't have much to contribute to this thread, because RPG's are long games and I don't like RPG's. I want to get KOTOR, though, because I'm a hXc Star Wars fan.

^ Yes, GTA and MGS3.
That took me 16:45 to beat the first time around.
I think by "longest game" the threadstarter meant that it had to be long playing it the first time through, not getting all the bonus stuff and beating it like 70 times before you unlock everything.
In MGS3, if you don't kill anyone, you get stealth camo. Or something like that. I'm willing to try it.

I'm gonna say Morrowind but I don't play games too much, just once in awhile I'll completley get obsessed with an RPG or two.

Yeah, Lemmings' puzzles were just plain annoying, and those DetnoLemmings would blow up a lot of your guys cause you didn't time it right, and then they're all walking off into lava the very next second.

FF X took me a really long time, moslty because I did just about everything that could be done in that game. Pretty fun too.

THPS 4 took a long time to get 100%. I never completed all the gaps. That would take so long!
