Longshot I suppose, but has anyone seen this movie? My brother bought it for €4 and has been raving about it ever since, proclaiming it the greatest bargain of all time. I didn't take much notice until I watched it tonight, and I'd be inclined to agree.

It's about Aussie celebrity mass-murderer psychopath/nightclub opener Mark Brandon "Chopper" Read(played by comedian Eric Bana) and chronicles his life in prison and afterwards. It's both the funniest and most disturbing film I've seen in a long time.

Yep, great film. I'd say most of the people who've seen it would be Aussies.

I love it. It's hilarious. And, it's the only movie in which Eric Bana could actually be called an actor.

If anyone can track it down, make sure you watch it.

I saw a book by Read in WH Smith, and loved the quote on the front (it's long and I can't remember it, so go look it up if you're interested). So I looked up more about him, and later bought Chopper on DVD for £5 a few years ago.

It's a great film. Starts stronger than it finishes, but that's not really a criticism considering it's based in reality. Definitely funny, too, mostly for Bana himself; he just plays it perfectly, I think.
