Ninja Gaiden: Why is it so great?

I've seen this name plastered everywhere and, even though I have only had my Xbox for a good 5 months, I haven't heard the name much before I got it.

Someone tell me why the game is so praised and like details about it? I nearly bought it on Monday, but I decided to save my money. I've made some bad decisions lately

Indeed you have, and as recently as Monday! Unless you repent from your blasphemy and buy NG quickly, you shall be sentenced to an eternity in hell for your sin.

Anyway, NG is awesome because it looks great, it has an awesome selection of weapons, incredible number of combos, great enemies and a sweeeet fighting system overall. Did I mention it was fun as hell? I've spent about 70 hours playing it I think. If you have XBL then you can download some stuff, including a new weapon which ****ing rocks. Also some tournament stuff that is ****ing impossible. Even I couldn't beat the second Hurricane Pack. :( But it was still fun up to where I got stuck. There's nothing like being stuck in a small circle with enemies and bosses constantly spawning around you.

Edit: Also you can unlock the first three NG games, but I didn't play them that much because I was too busy playing the 1337 new game.

It's excellent fun. They have a lot of sweet weapons. For a challenge, try decapitating three guys at once with the sword. :lol: Or see how many hits you can get in a row with the Vigoorian Flails. I think my record was 500 something.

i think the only word to describe it would be stylish. its so smooth. tons of combo's and all 3 nes versions. also supports amazing graphics and great cinematics. the only thing that dissappointed me was the storyline. it doesnt really involve a deep and complex storyline. but then again if i wanted an in depth storyline id play ff.

Yea I picked it up at EB Games since every place that rents video games was out. It's an awesome game.

But yes the game is amazing... really really smooth and no slowdown at all. It uses the dead or alive graphics engine, so If youve seen how beautiful that is then you know. Also the main character (ryu hayabusa (sp?) is one of the characters in DOA. It's an amazing game and it never gets old. It was well worth the $50

(I think there it was 80 instead of 60 for those challenges on Very Hard, it might have been more)

I played for 5 minutes, but it was an awesome game. I was helping my friend beat a boss that's on a horse an your on a bridge or something like that. Anyways, I've been saving up money to buy it.

The new weapon you get when you download the first Hurricane Pack was my favorite. I forget what it was called, but it was like a long wooden stick with sharp edges on both sides. It was fricking awesome. :cool:

The Lunar is the sexiest weapon of all time. Love givin Whip Lady teh shaft XD
