There is 64 green frogs throughout the game so if you shoot them all it will give you stealth camo!
The game is great, i think it is better than SOL in the way that the plot is layed out!

I'd say it's very close to being as good as the original MGS on the PS1. I think they are all very good games.

Its my favourite triology game, well actually the metal gear solid series is my favourite, and im glad to hear that there making MGS4

Just got it yesterday.. played up to when you first put on your camo (right at the very start) then got bored of all the codec conversations and went back to playing mercenaries.

I'll get back to it soon though.

How do you get the croc mask when you are trying to cross that lake full of alligators?

you have to go to the upper left part and swim under these logs. then you have to hold on to vines and then drop from one vine to another until you get on the little area where the mask is. (it's pretty useless but its funny to wear)

Im a big fan of Metal Gear Solid but i dont have this game yet. The 1st one looks better than this one though and its better than the second in my opinion

no you don't need it at all. my first 2 times through the game i didn't get it and i didn't need it.

This would pwn if it could be on PC, so it could *potentially* look better AND have a stable framerate. Even in the cutscenes, it gets choppy.

The spoiler at the end is painfully obvious. I expected it, but didn't expect it, because it was too easy to figure out.

to get the crpc mask you have to swim out into the water youl see loggs on the side swim under them then youl reach some ground walk along to a tree that you can climb ... climb up the tree there is a rope climb along that untill it stops there is another rope under neith it going from another tree drop and grab it if you have done this succsessfully climb along till that is a piece of raised ground drop onto it and youl find the croc mask (croc cap) you dont need a croc mask to get past crocidial (indian gavial) its just a cool thing to have

I downloaded it and played it a bit, I wasnt very good at it, Then i had to do some schoolwork so i just never played it.

Im gonna play it ( all of ) today.

OK, i love MGS's and listened to all the radio convos and watched all the cutscenes but because I have a very short concertration span I didnt understand the twists at the end. What I did understand, or think i understood was that:

The Boss was really on your side
Eva double crossed you

But I dont get if there was anything else, something about the government sending Snake in to get the Legacy but didnt tell him that incase he refused to do it. And who is Ocelot working for, I know he triple crossed people but who is he actually hoestly working for?

God**** this is a complex game! So many ways to do things.

I absolutely love the boss fights. The Fear one was awesome. I didn't use infrareds so it was a matter of running around, avoiding traps, and fps'ing for him.

Currently on the End, was almost going to give up until I read that you could use your survival viewer to find his approximate location.

Anyone else have trouble using CQC? I walk right up behind guards, stand still, then press circle.. only to have snake belt them one in the back of the head.

AHEM, Well this was the first MGS i really payed attention too..yes i did finish the other two but wasn't bothered to understand the events. I completely forgot about ADAM. That's what i simply ment.

When u have to fite the end, i hit him about twice with the sniper rifle, then i got bored(im more of a not-****-around-with-an-old-man-in-a-jungle-for-two-hours-) so my friend just killd him with a shotgun. u let him find u, then just sneak up on him...bam! btw, those FDP's dont work very good, so dont bother using them with him...

So can someone tell me how I cqc properly? Anytime I press circle he just hits people, even if I'm not mnoving the left analogue stick.

I've completed mgs2:sol numerous times and I think I kind of understand the whole story although at the end everything goes very wierd. Do you need to complete the first MGS to understand snake eater?

I believe he was working for the Americans.
I have only completed Snake Eater once so I'm trying to remember. I believe Snake only got half of the legacy, the other half was still in Russia. (I think thats Hideo Kojima's way of describing how USA and Russia was so powerful as they both had half of the legacy, during the cold war).

Now I've finished it I will play it through again (after clocking Mercenaries), however it's not really that much of a game.

Without the movie sequences this game is nothing. And I still despise the camera view. Soldiers can spot you from a mile away while you can barely see past your nose.

Let's hope MGS4 allow us the freedom of a camera slaved to the right analogue stick (or somesuch thing).
