i got one a few days ago and i think its really cool. i got donkey konga with it, the one with the bongos, and its amazing. the controllers have a weird layout but ive been used to playong on the xbox and ps2 until the ps2 broke. what do people think of the gamecube ?

Wind Waker is awesome. I'd go as far to say Nintendo seems to be the elast worried about competition. They just want to make games for everyone to enjoy, or so it seems.

I'm lovin' my Gamecube, got mine pretty recently with Super Smash Bros, Bloody Roar and Turok 2 (that game is ****) for 40 pounds off a friend, best deal ever.

Bought the Wind Waker cheaply aswell been playing that over MGS3 quite a lot.

It's a nifty little console.

Im considering buying one just for Resident evil 4.But for the most part I liek the xbox the best. I have both a ps2 and xbox,I never play my ps2,And gamecube seems kinda kidish,But I thought the grfx looked nice on all the games I seen displayed in the store.

It is a very good console. Since you just got it now, you have a ton of games to choose from if you want more.

Since you already have the bongo controllers, you should get Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat. It's this awesome platformer where you control DK with the bongos (you can make him jump, clap etc).

Get the Prime series and Smash Brothers.

The only reason i got the gamecube was for Mario games and any nintendo characters which are the BEST. Thats way better than most games that come out for other consoles.

Whatever you do, don't get the Starfox Adventures game, worst however much I spent I ever spent. The new on is supposedly pretty good, F-Zero GX is pretty good, as is Eternal Darkness, all the cross-platform games that are any good are just as good on the 'Cube.

No, i wouldn't say greatest of all time, it's not even the gretest on the GC.

RE 4 is, i would say Wind Waker is better aswell.

It's ace, but very hard at parts, you need a brain to play it, it's not all shooting and killing, it's more of a FPS adventure game.

I have a PS2 myself, I've never really played the Gamecube. It has some pretty amazing games for it though.

Nice job on getting a Gamecube. My mum bought me Mario Party 5 a couple of days ago but I haven't played it much yet.

I'm also quite obsessed with Paper Mario 2 at the moment but have little time to play it.

I think GameCube is the best. Each big console out right now has its ups and downs. What i dont understand is how people complain about its graphics, which are suppesedly much poorer than the others.
1. Graphics shouldnt matter that much. (Who still doesnt love SNES or 64)
2. At least 1/2 of X-Boxes games are sports games
3. GameCube's games arent all little kiddy games. Resident Evil 4 for instance. Metroid is another awesome series that is quite difficult. Also, whats wrong with MarioKart: Double Dash and SSBM. Those games rock and little kiddys cant play them good.

I agree,well,accept for it being the best.I prefer PS2,but GC is still second in my book.Along wit the games he mentioned pick up Tales Of Symphonia.It's 2 disks and supposidly has over 80 hours of gameplay.Totaly worth 50 bucks. :thumb:

I got A gamecube for christmas. I haven't go to play it as much as I would like to. And I don't have the best games. A couple good ones. I'm borrowing my friends Paper Mario(since like January) and I still haven't beat it. It's because I stopped playing. I've heard RE4 is really good so, I'm going on a buying that tomorrow night. I have the weekend free so I'm going to be playing it a lot! I wouldn't say its the best console ever but, out of X Box, Ps2 and the Cube, I would say its the best.
