hey everyone. im gettin a studio built in my basement and wanted to see the differant possibilities of a layout. my space is kind of limited (17x11 feet) i was wondering if maybe some people here could help me design a floorplan. i have to fit an L shaped desk (computer, monitor, mixer) a 5 peice drumset, a couch and a couple of amps. if anyone could help im i'de greatly appriciate it. thanks

a couch? of course. i mean i could line the walls with stools but a couch is deffinatly a necessity. i dont just record there me and a lot of my friends hang out there to. like while someone is layin down the vocals its nice to sit down and just chill.

can't you go into another room to chill? if space and money is a tight budget, i would count a couch as a luxury item.
as for help on this topic, try getting some free interior design software from download.com

I'm having a couch in my 'studio'
The whole point of it is for me to relax in and write / record material at my own pace
