Ok i wrote 2 bass solos very recently and put em up on my site. I already posted in the bass forum but i want to see what other music lovers think. Any suggestions/criticisms are welcome.

They were ok, not what I'd call bass solos, more a breakdown

The second one was a bit dragging I think

Good effort though

I did not like them very much. It did not sound anything like a bass. way to much of whatever effect you have on there. Try doing one without the effects.

i didn't really enjoy the first one,and they both didn't really sound like a bass. But at least someone is getting out there and doing something productive with a bass.

It was OK you have to make it a little more complicated. What effects did you use in it?

They weren't bad. But it's not like they were awsome. I'd go with previous advice and do clean bass lines becasue that doesn't sound like bass. And secondly for you to actually realize and recognize it as a solo I think there would have to be a whole song..I don't know, just saying.
