Iam planning on purchasing a Tascam 2488 and iam just wondering what else you guys suggest i would need for this. What are some good quality but cheap recording mics for vocals aswell as one for acoustic guitar? What other extras would be a wise purchase with this unit as well?
Also if anyone has any expeirence or comments on this recorded i would love the help. Thankyou very much for any help!

vocals --> cheap condenser to start out with. Battery powered. More than enough to support a basic tascam system. You could use that for acoustic guitar, but maybe you want to look into buying something large-diaphraghm for acoustic guitar.

the tascam unit and my mixer have phantom power so i can prolly use a phantom powered condenser instead of battery powered one? Do u have any specific brand that would give me good sound, even models?

a behringer C1 if you can get hold of one
otherwise, a behringer B1, a superlux CM-H8A, and a samson CO1 might all be worth a look.

Yes, it should do.
Try the MXL 990 though as well.
